pros outweigh the cons

I have lived in Columbus Station for almost a year and I WOULD recommend it! However, like any apartment complex, it has its cons: for example, residents are given the option to drop off their water bill at the office... we have always dropped off our check on time and got charged a late fee twice.
We had a problem with termites... but maintenance took care of it right away and we haven't seen any since. My only other complaint is that we reported our carpeting as popping up right when we moved in and they never fixed it.
Now to the pros... I have always found the office staff very friendly with me, they even send out birthday cards and thank you cards to residents. The location is an obvious plus, as you can walk to many restaurants and bars in Town Center. Our apartment had all new appliances in the kitchen and they are great. I have never felt unsafe living here, not at all. The patio doors have charlie bars installed for extra safety and you even have the option of having an apartment with an alarm system (for extra cost). The grounds are well kept and landscaped, it's a very pretty place.
Overall, there is definitely more good than bad in my opinion. The price is a little higher than I would have liked, but I have enjoyed living here.

The problems I am having stems from that main front little office. No voice mail, they forget you asked something to get fixed, they are never in their office during working hours (or are just ignoring the phone). When I first got here the staff was amazing and had such attention to detail, now when you call they act as if you are 'bothering them'. It has bothered me so much I am not renewing my lease and already looking elsewhere. Yes - I really like it, the neighborhood, and top notch maintenance but being ignored, forgotten or having to walk up to the office since they never answer the phone.. well.. I am leaving. If you doubt me, call them 30 minutes after they open. Nothing. I really dislike being made to feel like I am 'bothering' them so I'll move and that will not be an issue. Their main office needs to sincerly look into this.

I know that they hired new people in the office, and have noticed a big change since early March. The office staff is very responsive and friendly now. I'm sorry you had a bad experience w/ the staff- I guess they got rid of bad ones after it was too late for you.
