I have been living here a year and have to say this is the worst place I have lived. The windows are awful and let tons of cold air or the heat in during the summer. Our electric bill is awful as a result. My air conditioner constantly freezes and stops working during the summer. I have to run the heat on 78 at night to keep my children warm upstairs at night. My children have allergies so they get sick easily. The plumbing is awful!!! Especially the downstairs bathroom. The toilet constently clogges, which I was warned about after i signed the lease my maintenance because of the narrow pipes. The sink downstairs as well as the tubs upstairs do not drain properly. They back up very easily as well. Maintenance takes forever to come out and fix things. Two times, myself or my husband fixed the air conditioner ourselves after a week of waiting including one time when it was getting up into the 90's in our apartment. The air filter in the air conditioner unit is a 30 day one and it has not been changed in the year I have been here depsite this being pointed out. Currently, my downstairs toilet is clogged. I came home from work to find no water in the toilet and now it will not drain. I informed them at 9 am on a tuesday and now here it is saturday and no one has come out. I even called on wednesday for an update to be told someone would be out thursday and again it is saturday and it still has not been looked at.
The water/sewer bill is high, at 77.00 a month. If you are one person or 5 people in your home, you pay the same amount which is not fair at all.
Laura is okay in the leasing office. The other staff member is very rude. I was told I could not use my power of attorney unless my spouse was 60 miles away and was told this was told to the leasing office by navy legal. After my spouses legal officer contacted them and they had no reasoning for this behavior on their part they then agreed to cooperate. I ended up speaking to navy legal myself as well as the ship ombudsman and they said they have never heard this rule and it was obsurd. If the leasing office is reading this, they will know who this is.
