Ive heard from MANY people that Emerald Point has gotten WAYYY Better over the last few years. They kicked out a lot of the "riff raff" and there hasnt been a problem since. I have lived here almost a year now and still love it. Yes, i can hear my neighbors..but thats at ANY apartment! If you dont wanna hear ur neighbors BUY A HOUSE! These are apts! I love my neighbors and its animal friendly here which is major plus for me. Yes, maintenance is slow but ive seen it WAY worse at other complexes here in VB.

I'm from New York too and these people on here have no idea. I live in Newport News now and i'm about to move in there and i can't wait cause ALL OF THE APATMENTS OVER HERE ARE GHETTO. and full of drugs. So is NY. but they are just mad cause they are causing this in them and probley instead of bitching to them they are on here. What such losers.

I live in Emerald Point off of westminster in St Matthews Sq. and have for almost a year! Maybe you need to RE-read your leases and clauses because there are NO weight restrictios on dogs here, only BREED restrictions. I have a 180lb Saint Bernard and the management knows all about him. I pay my pet rent monthly so get your facts correct.

Maintenance is way slower here (if they come at all!) than at my last apt... It was more expensive, but now I understand after living in this dump!

IT's not about being SLOW on a maintenance response, it's about not coming at all. And having the most incompetent people come out to do it at that. Why did I have FOUR different guys come out, and no one knew what the hell to do until they got a regional MANAGER out... right before I moved???! You'd better believe they sent him out because I threatened to go to the city with it. Then I got a goodie basket and apologies from the property manager and they didn't charge me for their crappy blinds when I moved out. Uh-uh, I wasn't having that. I THINK I forgot to mention, that one time a maintenance guy came out to fix my fridge, he LEFT OUT A BOWL OF FOOD in the middle of my kitchen floor. It had gone bad, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

As a fellow New Yorker I located here a 2 1/2 years ago and the person that I gave the referral bonus to told me not to move here and I am so sorry I didnt listen...........I have lived in 3 different apartments since I have been here all had plumbing problems one had a major mold issue............I grew up in Public Housing in NY --- I have to tell you from where I am from we got far better results in the hood than at Emerald point .......Once they lock you into that lease its on. and Be forwarned about the water bill it is outrageogous.
