I concur with about every other listing here. Emerald Point is a Ghetto. It is a --------- housing area, so you can pay 1140 like us and live next to people who don't work but wait for you to leave to break into your car (happened to us twice).

The office is condescending about this and if you don't know the ------- companies main number they will not lift a finger to fix anything in your Home...they forget that too...that its your home, and most of us want it to stay nice.

We lived in three places at the beach, including harper's square, this is by far the nastiest we have been in, we are currently trying to break the lease and move to Maple Bay town homes.

You can think I am being bitter and nasty...but hey don't head and move in, you will be writing here in a few months, you can count on that.

In updating this review which I stand by 100%. Not only was there a fire a few months ago, but this is in todays local paper:
http://hamptonroads.com/2009/06/carbon-monoxide-beach-apartments-sends-5-hospital

This is not here say or disgruntled ex-tenants, this is dangerous stuff, and if you were in the complex, annoying loosing your gas fr a few hours. This place is a ghetto stay away if you value you life. This whole place needs condemned, ------- should be ashamed of himself.

It is an awful place. I just checked into it and even their model is terrible. The rental office is so fancy and updated ofcourse. The best time to look into a rental community is in the evening and or on the weekend so you can see what lurks there if you know what I mean.
