I just wanted to see if anyone else here has been experiencing problems with their water bill being way too high. I ve contacted Ista to no avail (they are horrible & could care less about their customers. BBB will be getting a complaint letter as well as the Ista main office) and EP office wasn t helpful at all. They said I must be using more water. Ummm. NO! I don t take long showers and my toilet isn t running and I never use the dishwasher. So really, why is my bill double of what I used to pay at my old place' What I pay for one month of water my friend pays for 2 months and she has a washer and a 5 people in her home (where I only have 3).
Has anyone else had this problem and if so what have you done to rectify it' (BTW I am aware of the new $5 charge that has taken place)Is this something we can complain to the city about being that the water company and the complex isn t trying to help'

Don't forget the risk of losing everything you own due to irresponsible neighbors causing fires. That seems to be a bit too much of a norm. There was a horrible one on New Year's Eve. That's the 5th one I know about since moving here in 2006.

Unfortunately you run the risk of losing everything in a fire from careless neighbors no matter where you live or how much you pay. What about the huge one at Marina Shores? If Marina SHores was as big as this place, how many do you think that they would have? You just never know no matter where you live. Thats why I have insurance.

Depending on where you live on the property, you may be paying for someone elses water. I know that the so called JR suites on the back of Westminster Lane pay for the half bathrooms in the townhomes above them. It is also possible that you could be paying the water for the common laundry rooms. As far as the fires go, Marina Shores has had one fire compaired the Emerald Points 8 in the last 2 1/2 years. Linkhorn Bay Apartments is larger then Emerald Point and I haven't heard of any fires there. Even though you have insurance, it may not be enough. The average cost to replace a 4 unit building due to someone being careless if far more then the $100,000 you are required. Anything over that amount then becomes your responsibility to pay. Emerald Point is a slum anyway. The Breeden Company should be run out of business for that hell hole.

I know I lived here for 5 years (2001-2006) and never had any problems. I know that when I mvoed to the Baltimore area, EVERY apartment community charges for water, sewer, gas and ttrash pickup fee. It only makes sense. I I owned a home, I would pay all the same bills. Its a business...they can't give away the farm just to make people happy. It's just what it's come to these days. People have bills and it's the trickle down effect. What can ya do?! :)

Uh yeah but we shouldnt be paying $80 bucks a month in water. We dont even have a washer in our unit. There has been 5 fires since last year here. You damn employees need to stop coming on here trying to talk your crap just like you do when someone comes in your office. It is time the truth be told. I am thinking about contacting Wavy about all of this. Homeless and crackheads hanging out in the laundry area. Womens panties being shredded. Rats, roaches, ants galore. This place needs to be shut down. Kind of funny I have spoken to all most everyone in my court and they ALL agree.
