I moved here with my husband and thought we had a great value. The rent was affordable, just under $900 for a 2 bedroom 1 bath with a washer and dryer. The stoves were gas and I thought it was good for when the power went out. The jet noise was so bad I thought they were going to fly through my apartment. I could hear the people outside and worst of all I have never seen "water bugs" until I moved here. They are really large cockroaches and they were everywhere. We told the office and had the apartment sprayed like once every other week. That did not work. I bought 3 cans of raid and kept one in the living room, kitchen and main bedroom because the roaches were everywhere. Parking was great I always found a space. Our air and heat went out and it took them far too long to come fix it. It even took me going into the apartment office, almost cussing out the staff and all to get maintenance to come look at the apartment and fix the air. DO NOT LIVE HERE! I could not wait to move. And a quick note, if you see a roach -dead or alive -on your tour, they will be there when you move in.
P.S. There was 1 fire while we there and about 4 since we left!

I am going to start off by saying that I agree that the complex tricks people in by charging so little for the apartments. I personally, never had a problem with the roaches. But I had a HUGE problem with ants! They literally coated my dog at one point. He fell asleep, when my husband got up the dog was going crazy with the ants all over him. Just a sad sight to see especially since I'm such a clean freak. I was fortunate enough to get an end unit so I couldn't hear people next to and below me as bad, but I could clearly hear the people outside. As to the jet noise, the complex is less than 5 minutes from the MAIN NAVAL AIR STATION in this area. So you've got to expect it. When the jets are going over, they're either approaching to land or just taking off and only a max of 1000 feet above the complex. You even have to sign something in your lease about that. So it's nothing you weren't warned of before moving in. However, I agree, it's very annoying. My heat went out too in the middle of January and it took them 2 weeks to fix it. It was rediculous. Fortunately, my husband decided to give up on them when my AC went out in July. As to the fires, I lived there for 6 months (cut my lease because they pissed me off so much), and in the 6 months, there were 3 fires. Yes, 3. 1 was the devastating one in January. Another took an entire building out and I believe the third also took another building out. But the third was in the section 8 housing. The laundry rooms are nasty and just flat out disgusting. DO NOT MOVE BACK HERE. IT IS A HEALTH TRAP. AND DEATH TRAP.
