I HAVE LIVED IN 3 OF THEIR APARTMENTS-1st ON QUEENS WAY UPSTAIRS AND HAD SOME ELECTRICAL ISSUES THAT THEY GOT FIXED THE SECOND GO AROUND (2006-7=ONE AND HALF YEARS). THEN ON KING CHARLES COURT BOTTOM UNIT, HAD A BAD SMELL PROBLEM FOR ABOUT THREE MONTHS UNTIL I FOUND WHERE IT WAS COMING FROM MYSELF. IN THE MEAN TIME THEY RECLEANED THE CARPETS, CLEANED THE AIR DUCTS, SPRAYED MOLD KILLER STUFF UNDER THE TUB THROUGH THE PASS THROUGH IN SMALL BEDROOM CLOSET. THEY EVEN BROUGHT A SPECIALIST ON MOLD IN WALLS TO CHECK IT OUT. THEY FINALLY WORKED WITH MY IDEA AND SEALED ALL THE WALLS AT THE CARPET LEVEL WITH CONCRETE STUFF. NO MORE SMELL. THEY RESURFACED MY TUB WHEN THE VENDOR COULD WORK MY APARTMENT INTO HIS SCHEDULE (NOT A EP EMPLOYEE BUT PRIVATE CONTRATOR). I LOVED THE TILES IN THE TUB AREA AS NONE WERE BROKE JUST NEEDED REGROUTING WHICH THEY DID A GREAT JOB WITH. APARTMENT WAS GREAT BUT THE COMMON DOOR WITH SMOKERS UPSTAIRS LEAVING THEIR DOOR OPEN, I HAD TO MOVE AGAIN DUE TO SEVERE ASTHMA PROBLEMS TIRED OF GOING TO ER. NOW I HAVE A LOVELY 'SURF SIDE' BOTTOM LEVEL WITH A PATIO/PORCH AREA WHICH IS GREAT. YES I CAN HEAR MY NEIGHBORS WALKING OR WHATEVER UPSTAIRS BUT THAT IS NORMAL IN APT. AT THE KIND CHARLES ONE YOUNG PEOPLE MOVED IN DOWNSTAIRS AND THOUGHT THEY COULD DO A CONCERT AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT-NOT. CALLED EP TO COMPLAIN THEY WERE GIVEN 21 DAYS PROBATION AND IF ANY MORE COMPLAINTS DURING THAT TIME THEY WOULD BE EVICTED. WELL THEY JUMPED OUT AND LEFT IT A MESS. HATE THOSE TYPE OF TENANTS AS THEY MAKE IT HARD FOR THE CREW TO KEEP UP WITH THE NORMAL MAINTENOUS. FIRES HERE IF YOU WANT TO CHECK IT OUT ARE CAUSED THE PERCENTAGE OF THE TIME BY SMOKERS BEING CARELESS. WORST ONE I SAW HAPPENED WHEN A TENANT DID NOT PUT OUT HIS CIGERETTE ON THE BALCONY AND WENT IN AND THE WIND CAUGHT IT AND BOOM SO MANY PERSONS OUT OF THEIR HOMES AS IT WAS A HIGH WIND DAY. ANOTHER A TENANT WAS SMOKING AND DRINKING WHILE LAYING ON THE COUCH FELL ASLEEP AND BOOM ANOTHER FIRE AND HE WAS VERY SERIOUSLY BURNED. I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL OTHERS OF WHICH ONE WAS A FAULTY WIRE IN A PLUG-IN; BUT UNLESS YOU SEE SPARKS OR IT DOESN'T WORK THEN THE CREW DOES NOT KNOW TO COME AND FIX IT BEFORE A FIRE HAPPENS. FIRES HAPPEN EVERYWHERE LINKHORN BAY APARTMENTS HAD A BAD ONE NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED IT I WAS LIVING THERE AT THE TIME BUT IT WAS THE UNITS ACROSS THE LAKE FROM ME. THIS PLACE IS NOT A GHETTO BUT A COMMUNITY THAT IS TRYING TO LIVE HERE WITH THOSE WHO DO NOT CARE WHERE THEY PUT THEIR TRASH EVEN WHEN A DUMPSTER IS NOT FULL, THEY LET THEIR KIDS AGES 5-UP TO RUN AROUND UNSUPERVISED SOME ARE PART OF A GROUP WHO ARE VANDALIZING THE COMMUNITY, DAMAGING CARS, TRYING TO BREAK INTO CARS, ETC. THESE KIDS' PARENTS CANNOT BE FOUND AS THE KIDS RUN AND YOU DO NOT SEE WHERE THEY GO. IF ALL OF US JUST PICKED UP LITTER IF WE SEE IT, ASK DOG OWNERS TO PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG (IF THEY DO NOT SEE WHERE THEY LIVE AND REPORT THEM TO THE OFFICE), BE NEIGHBORLY AND IT IS REALLY NICE HERE IF WE GO ABOUT IT THE RIGHT WAY. EP CANNOT DESCRMINATE AGAINST ANYONE TO LIVE HERE BUT THEY CAN HANDLE THE PROBLEMS WHEN YOU REPORT THEM ON PAPER TO THE OFFICE, ASK FOR A SIGNED COPY BACK THAT SHOWS YOU REPORTED THE PROBLEM. WORKS WITH ----------- PROBS TOO. HOPE EVERYONE WHO LIVES HERE AND WILL LIVE HERE WILL BE GOOD NEIGHBORS AND IF YOU HAVE KIDS HOLD THEM CLOSE AS WE ARE NEAR AN INTERSTATE.

Man they must have paid you good to say all those good things. And its so funny how you have a excuess for everything about this place. How I forgot they are only nice to you cause your in a wheelchair. We have a right to be mad a angry about this place. Is danger everywhere you turn. Everyone here specially that dumb of a person --------. Shes too busy ------------- to do her job and the manger and the property manager is too busy where thier --------------------- to care about this place. As anyone seam him drive around like he cares please. So do yourself a favor and stop buttering up this place so you can get paid cause as along as this place has been up its been bad!!

I have gone on how this is the worse complex in VA beach but the handi man here gave another point of contetnion. I lved there for two years before I got out and the pools never had life gaurds for the whole summer or will not stay in working order for the whole summer. We lived by the smaller one on Queen catherine and that would break about mid summer and get lake like green, it was nasty. The main pool cement was so bad my kids would cut there feet. This place is without a doubt the worse place in VA beach to live, I have lived in Harpers and would take it over this hell hole. So be honest mr all caps...how long have you worked for that ghetto king -------??

I don't even think this is a real resident. Look at the verbage he used! It sounds like a rental advertisement. Anyone who has lived there knows that the "gym" (that you have to use a $50 card to get into, "membership fee") is not well equipped, nor is it clean or fresh smelling. This person must not have been living/working there when the carbon monoixde leak they attributed to the pool had the residents without gas for a week. Did the complex try to appease us by giving us food coupons (since that's what we cooked with)? Of course not! Did they do anything other than say "it's being fixed" and shut the pool down for the summer? No! I had to call Channel 3 News out there to get mine back on! I'm with HJMoore, this person is a staff member of the ------- company. I mean really... If you believe what they say and move out there, you deserve whatever staph infection, mold, mice, roach, ant, destruction or dismay that will come to you. Take our advice in layman's terms... FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO LIVE.

Oh there are so many things wrong with your post that it is not even plausible. I get it, EP is trying to boost their ratings to hide the rathole (LITERALLY) that it is. The gym has a few machines that are outdated, the park is full of thugs and unsupervised kids who pee down the slide. The lifeguards at the pools do not even follow the rules--they let people smoke in the pool area, no passes, etc. And the ----------- people do have drug problems. I have had medications stolen from my drug cabinet. I've had to deal with rats, cockroaches, obnoxious neighbors, no heat or AC, heard gunshots, I've heard of people having their underwear stolen out of the laundry room. Great place to live..I'm glad I am gone.

This place isn't perfect but I've never had any problems. I have never had any problems with ----------- or the ------------. Deloriss is right - treat them with respect and they will treat you with respect. I've never used the gym or pool so I can't attest to those. But as for someone in a wheelchair using the gym - Hello they can still work on upper body strength! If you expected the Ritz Carlton people you should of moved there.

i have lived here for almost 3 years and have never had a problem aside from the time about 6 months ago that guests were parking in the assigned spaces but those people were kicked out so everything is good, the pools are decent me and my son went there 3-5 times a week this summer and never once had a problem

JUST REALISED THAT THE ONE WHO MADE THE COMMENT - 130..... HAS 'easytoplease' AS PART OF HIS/HER 'NAME' FOR THE REVIEW. NEED TO CHANGE THAT AS YOU ARE REALLY NOT THAT. I HOPE TRULY THAT ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY ARE HAPPY WHERE YOU ARE AT NOW. AND IF SO THEN JUST DO US ALL A FAVOR=ENJOY IT AND FORGET THE PETTY GRUDGES YOU HAVE AGAINST EP. EP IS A VERY LARGE COMMUNITY AND OVER 80% OF US ARE HAPPY HERE AND REALISE THAT STUFF DOES BREAK, PARTS DO HAVE TO BE ORDERED, AND THAT IS JUST LIFE.
