Everybody's comments about maintenance are true. My air conditioner stopped working for three days during the time when it was 102 degrees outside. My daughter has asthma and I have fibromyalgia. I called the emergency maintenance line when I got home from work. They said "it's dark and we can't work outside in the dark". He said they'd be over at 8 am the next morning. I waited until 9 am and had to leave for work. They arrived about noon. When I came home, they had replaced the thermostat! I would think they could do that at night since it's inside the building.
Also, for THREE years in a row, their "gardeners" have cut down my flowers. Last year I created a sign IN SPANISH that said "don't touch my garden". That didn't matter. The manager said we have "unhealthy" living conditions. Yep...because the water heater from an adjacent apartment flooded our carpet. I'm responsible for that'
The rent has risen from $940 to $980 (because of the "water usage") to over $1000 a month. They once called *my boss* at work because I paid $995 instead of $1000 because I did a survey about them.
No..don't even think of moving here. I'm out of here as soon as I can find a place to go.

I work and live at Indian Lakes. I know for a fact that none of our maintenance workers would say that they couldn't work in the dark, if they did they would not have a job because that is unacceptable. I know they didn't though. We try our best to complete all maintenance problems within 24 hours, unless we have to order a part that will take longer than one day, but that is not usually the case. So every maintenance request was completed in 24 hours which is much better than the industry standard. According to the lease agreement the resident is not allowed to have "gardens," although we have allowed them as long as they do not become an eye sore. We want everyone to be happy living here and if any resident has a problem with anything in our complex I hope that they come to the clubhouse so that we can fix it for them instead of going to this site first.

i had similar issues with your "maintenance workers". I called about my heat not working, when it was below 20F outside, and was told that I should "make sure my vents are open." Well, no ----. After I explained to the highly trained "maintenance worker" that my vents were open and only cool air was blowing out, he told me to make sure i had the temperature turned up. Do they really think everyone that lives here is stupid? I mean, honestly. Finally, he tells me that he cant work in the dark and will be there to fix it in the morning. Leaving me over night with no heat. thank god for down comforters and hoodies. The next day, i called to speak with management and was promised the problem would be taken care of... When the highly skilled workers finally showed up at 1:00PM, my girlfriend was frightened as they did not knock before entering. the workers walked on my clean carpet with their dirty boots, leaving stains. They then proceeded to welcome themselves upstairs into my bedroom, to "make sure the vents were open" even after my girlfriend told them there was no reason they should be up there... After receiving a call from her explaining this, i left work to come home, to find two half stoned or retarded "maintenance workers" with muddy boots, trying to half ass a thermostat into the 9 inch hole they cut into my wall. When they realized that the thermostat was not the problem, they said that a part would need to be ordered.. leaving us without heat, yet another night. we ended up staying in a hotel, and were promised by the great management that we would be reimbursed... never saw a penny. this place is trash. if you want to deal with thug wanna be cracked out "maintenance workers" and a staff of ignorant high school drop outs, then this is the place to be. otherwise, keep looking.
