No way - never again!

I have been residing in the Latitudes for less than a year now, and about the 3rd month I had realized that I made a mistake by signing a 12 month lease.

I basically had no other choice but to sign this lease b/c I was new to the area, and had just driven here from my home state and had nowhere else to go but the Navy Lodge. So I thought they looked nice, so they must be!... I was thoroughly convinced to lease my apartment b/c I had ALL new appliances, new tile in the foyer and...thats about it!

Once we moved in, I realized that washing the dishes was nearly impossible- you have to pre-wash everything before putting it in the dishwasher or you'll be eating off of the same dirty dish you put in the washer- but lets not forget that there are not 2 sides to the sink, so washing dishes by hand is like torture!
I stay on the first floor, and as to be expected, I hear my neighbors. But the problem is not so much that I hear voices or yelling- its the water. I always know when someone is taking a shower, running the bath, washing clothes- anything that has to do w/ the pipes, I know about it thanks to the very thin walls!
The "master" bedroom is not so master afterall! Its almost like they forgot they had to build the restroom when they were building them. The restroom is located behind the door of the room, so if someone is coming into the room- u can't leave the bathroom until the door closes! Don't even think about sharing this bathroom- room for only 1, a small one at that! Not that its the ideal thing to do, but you can't be on the toilet or try to get out of the shower w/ the door open either! It is THAT small! Really a mess!

I can't believe that they are getting away w/ charging over $1000 for a small apt, and have the audacity to go up this year on the rent- $1135. They are really rediculous.

The parking is danger- especially w/ their ruthless towing company they have contracted to the apartment! Jack's towing is horrible. They survey the apts from sun up to sun down looking for any excuse to tow your car. If YOUR inspection or registration is out on YOUR PERSONAL vehicle that is parked @ YOUR apartment that you are paying YOUR money for, THEY will tow it! If construction is going on and construction vehicles are parked along every available spot and residents have to resort to the VISITOR parking, leaving none for the visitors, THEIR cars will be towed within 10 min or less- guarenteed! So try not to have any friends if you stay there!!!

Last but not least, I suspect that the mail lady/carrier descriminates and opens the mail. It has been over 3 months since I have rec'd the weekly circular that every resident rec's on a regular basis. I have not rec'd those or any of my coupons or that I am supposed to get besides the missing persons mailing. I know for a fact that the circulars have to be mailed to every resident- (I work for the postal service) but for some reason I don't get them. I also subscribe to Blockbuster online and there have been numerous time when I have rec'd a movie w/ tape on it, like someone opened it and taped it back together!! That is very scandolous!
But for now, thats it. Stay far away from the area if looking to rent. Not a good bargain.
