do NOT Rent here

We started renting here in June of 2006. We just moved out January 2008. Most of the time we had no problems. BUT, more crimes has been occuring here. Breaking in happen often now especially to cars. Motorcycles have been stolen often. It is VERY VERY VERY loud here. The complex backs up to 264 and is near very busy Hilltop area. Sirens were heard a lot and the jet and helicopter noises shook the apartment. These are WAY overpriced for the lack of sleep you get. And I no longer felt safe with my family here. If you have pets BEWARE. You will be asked to pay $400 JUST FOR THE PERK OF HAVING A PET ON THE PREMISIS. This does NOT cover any damage at all and in addition to that you will also pay $20 per pet each month. NON of that money goes to cover pet damages. It is written in the papers, so I guess we deserve what we got for not reading the lease first. But I could have sworn she told us it covers damages when we quickly signed everything.
In closing, I do not think this is a place for a family, pets, light sleepers, or women living alone.
It used to be nice, but it's gone down hill. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS

WHOOOPS! I am very to but up that last comment. I thought I was responding to a comment made about the community I live in in Indianapolis IN. The Virginia Beach Latitudes may very well be a pile of steaming crap as the review indicates. The one I live at in Indiana however is great. Please disregard the comment I left above. Thanks
