My husband, son and i moved into Latitudes in January. So far we havent had many problems. The one major problem was the Washer and Dryer in the unit werent working properly when we first moved in but Maintenance came out and took care of the problem in less than 2 days. The only gripes I do have with the apartment are: the Kitchen only has one sink, not a double. I dont use the dishwasher because its only my husband son and myself and there isnt a need to waste so much water and energy on a dishwasher. However, the sink is really big. Then, the master bedrooms doors are backwards. When you open the master bedroom door is covers the master bathroom door making it a pain in the butt every time you go use the bathroom. However, its not a huge problem. My one major, yet still little, problem are the light switches. LOL You have to walk into the "foyer" area to turn on the light to the kitchen. A little annoying when the light switch to the dinning room is right next to the kitchen. Why couldnt they have wired the switches at the same time right there' Our 2 bedroom does have a ton of windows and when we moved in they laid down new carpeting for us. Also, the office offers free copying and faxing services, which is convenient and they take CC payments so you dont have to run out and get money orders all the time. There is a lot of Jet noise but its not too bad. They usually stop flying low around 10pm. When you move in the office makes you sign a paper stating that you know about the jet noise. The parking lots are very well lit and I feel safe walking from my car to my door. When you move in, you are given 2 car stickers for parking. Parking isnt too bad and you never have to park very far. There are tons of visitors spaces also. The people getting towed were most likely parking in resident parking spaces for more than a couple hours. The office staff has been really nice, however, they are a little slow sometimes when you go into the office for help. There is usually a line of people in there looking for apartments or paying rent or other misc things. I think they could use another staffer in there. For the most part, living here the past few of months has been nice.

Keep an eye on your windows. The apartments are really old and need updating and several of the units have mold problems...I am having severe health problems because of this and when I asked them for rental reimbursement since I've been trying to get them to take care of this for months now, they say they'll send someone out to take care of it immediately...that was a week ago and I have yet to have someone come out.

Actually, dishwashers are less "green" because it is plugged to an outlet, thus must use electricity plus the water. If you are washing dishes manually, it is very simple to turn off the water while you scrub and only use the water to rinse...very simple, very "green".

Slightly irrelevant, but dishwashers are actually more efficient than handwashing dishes. The typical dishwasher only uses 3-4 gallons of water in one load, and handwashing can use deceptively large amounts of water. Hope that helps. Go green!
http://www.treehugger.com/files/2009/01/built-in-dishwasher-vs-hand-washing-which-greener.php It is possible to be as efficient washing dishes manually, but dishwashers use 1/2 the energy, 1/6 the water, and less soap. Check out this article!
