I moved into Linkhorn Bay in late 2007. Upon our arrival, there were already maintenance issues that had to be fixed. Our patio door locks did not work, nor did our bathroom fan. Our dryer took about 4-5 times to dry 1 load of laundry. Granted, maintenance came and repaired the locks and bathroom fan timely. Unfortunatly, I can't say the same for the dryer. They have been here to fix it about 4 times, and it still does not work. On our most recent call for service, it took a month for anyone to come out (even though I called every other day). And of course, it is still not fixed. I have pretty much given up any hope of ever having a dryer while I live here. In the maintenance workers defense, they are very friendly but very busy. There are only about 3 or so people that work in the department, and I am sure that it is the complex's fault that they cannot just replace the crappy "new" appliances (they are way too cheap to do anything logical like that). My most recent complaint about the complex - my car was broken into. They broke my car window in the middle of the night. The scariest part of this ordeal is that my car was parked directly in front of my apartment...it happened right outside my bedroom window! The outside lights don't work - they haven't since we moved in so it is extremely dark in the parking lot. VERY SCARY. When I told the office about my ordeal, they didn't care. They acted like it was not a big deal. I now have to replace my window, and the items that were stolen from it. This place is absolutly ridiculous. I tried to stay positive about Linkhorn Bay...but I am so over it. I am counting down until my lease is over. Prior to my move in I had read the reviews, and was skeptical...but now I have learned my lesson. Don't make the same mistake I did. The price sounds like a good deal, but the experience makes it so not worth it. Take my advice, please DON'T DO IT, STAY AWAY!! AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt

I so understand everything that you've said. the same things happen to me.. but the best advice that i can give anyone is that to take pics of the place when you move in so that they can't say that it's you that broke those things. i moved in with doors falling off the henges, stains in the carpet (don't even start about the smell of the carpet), no rod for a shower curtain, my dryer didn't work either...i can go on and on and on about that place. but we broke our lease cause we just couldn't stand it anymore. don't even get me started about the fees that they charge, freaking out of this world. but i have to give the just 1 credit...they made us buy a house!!! because of them, we decided to buy a house and give them the finger for all that crap they put us through. so i totally agree with everyone that says to NOT MOVE HERE!!!! THEY SUCK EVERYTHING NASTY UNDER THE SUN!!!
