We saw the terrible reviews, and moved in anyway for the cheap deal we got. I'm glad we got a deal, but that's pretty much all I'm glad about. When we moved in, there were a number of things that needed fixing. And I couldn't believe that they didn't clean the walls in the bathroom before painting. The former tenant's hair is all over the walls. And a lot of it we can't pull out. Gross. They said we had a lake view, we took their word for it...mistake. There is a lake back there, but with all the trees in the way, we can't see it. We pay $20 extra a month for that wonderful view. I awoke one morning recently to carpenter ants EVERYWHERE. We called the office right away, and it took WEEKS for an exterminator to come out. If you complain about an issue, prepare for a maintenance guy to show up (never on the same day of the complaint) and just waltz right on in. I came home one day, and from the parking lot, saw a maintenance guy standing in my bedroom window. He was fixing something that we had complained about a while ago, and I didn't appreciate not getting a phone call to see if he could come. It was not any kind of emergency. So I went straight to the office, and told them that I didn't want that to ever happen again. The guy in the office said unless you tell them ahead of time, they knock on your door, and if you don't answer, they just come right in. He said that they wouldn't do that if they know you have a dog. Well, we do have a dog, and fortunately for the maintenance guy, everything turned ok with that. He said from then on they would call to see if it was ok to enter. But about 2 weeks ago, I heard a noise when I was in the bathroom, and walked out to find a maintenance guy in the kitchen fixing the stove handle. Again, not an emergency. I was pissed! I called the office and let them know. I've yet to get a hold of the Property Manager to let her know about it. Parking is terrible. No assigned parking, so a visitor could very well get the spot closest to your apartment. A car on our street was vandalized shortly after we moved in. My car was hit overnight, and we don't know who did it. I have red paint on my silver car from the back door all way to the bumper, and a few dings. Twice we've had neighbors shoot fireworks off their balcony or between buildings (and no, this wasn't even around the time of July 4th ). Just the kind of crazies that live here. The cops were called the first time, and he said he'd go over to their apt but couldn't really do anything since he didn't see it happen. I hope our apt doesn't blow up. We've heard gunshots. Jets are one thing, but gunshots, not cool. This is party central on the weekends! No quiet weekends around here. There's one cable in the living room. If you want it in the bedrooms, you have to pay to get it hooked up. The window in the guest room leaked HEAVILY during a recent storm. I called the office, it was after hours, and they said someone would arrive in about 30 minutes. It took an hour. He arrived, was amazed at the amount of water on the floor, drilled some holes in the window so water could drain, said he'd be back to clean up the water, and was on his way. He called me about an hour later and said there were so many 1st floor apts leaking that he wasn't going to be able to come back that night. He said he would come tomorrow. Never heard from him. We had to borrow a wet vac from a friend and clean up the water ourselves. We still haven't anyone come to see if the carpet needs replacing. There's so much more, and I could go on and on, but this should give you enough of an idea of what this place is like.

I was there a year before I got the pleasure of hearing gunshots. Once it started to go downhill, it went quickly. Good luck complaining to the property management company. They don't care at all, as I complained several times. I'm glad I got the hell out of there when I did!

My husband and I have lived here for a few years and have NEVER heard gun shots here. If we ever had, we would have moved a long time ago. Yes, maintenance sucks, but we were told by one of the maintenance workers that they have to run it by their supervisor, and he always says it's not an emergency. They need to fire the supervisor. We were left without water in our apartment, and the maintenance worker that came over offered to go get the part himself, and the supervisor said it wasn't an emergency. My husband has threatened to call the property manager more than once, and all the girls in the office tell him is that if he doesn't leave they'll call the police. We're moving in about a week and will be writing a very long letter to the property manager when we do move out.
