I lived here with my then-wife and stepdaughter from 2003-2004 while I was in the Navy, and I can say that every single thing these dozens of negative reviews have said is true, true, 1000 times true.

The parking is terrible, the gym (which was actually burned down by vandals right before I left, was it ever rebuilt') was awful and the guy who worked there was the biggest jerk. There were roaches (don't let Southerners tell you Palmetto bugs are anything but) everywhere, the windows leaked, the towel bar fell, the guy in the wannabe military fatigues who has people's cars towed is an a$$, the walls are thin, there is garbage everywhere, potholes, broken glass...ah, and the neighbors. Indeed, Linkhorn Bay does NOT apparently do credit checks or anything because there are welfare families everywhere. It's like the Bronx, there are packs of dirty little black kids running screaming everywhere, and my lovely welfare neighbor family packed 9 people in a 2-bed apartment. Of course, since the thing about the water bills is true (they divide by apartment, not by usage) I wound up with a $75 water bill because of the welfare people's showers. One night I was home alone and there was a knock. A VERY scary-looking black guy with a turban was standing there and asked if I would help donate funds to help some evicted woman come back. Utterly disgusting.

The maintenance people never did anything, and once when my AC went down on a hot summer night the guy complained that I woke him up, and asked if I could just deal with it. I reminded him that he is on-call for a reason.

I will have a few meager cherished memories though. I have to admit that Spring Lake is very beautiful, and my apt faced it. I used to sit on the deck with a beer and a book and watch the sun set. I also liked the little pond near the eastern side of the property, which was stocked with dozens of types of fish, which my stepdaughter and I loved catching.

But in the end, you simply MUST heed the overwhelming advice: DO NOT MOVE TO LINKHORN BAY.

I heard they still have meetings in Louisiana and mississippi for kkk members im sure you and your family would fit in great there. Its skin heads like you that make people murder innocent victims because they look like the trash you speak. Im not religious but it makes me say i hope hell does exist so someone like you can burn in it.
