Very nice Apartments, POOR MANAGEMENT!!

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
I have lived in building 5733 Lilac Lane for going on four years. The apartment itself, to me, is very nice. The grounds are kept well, not as well as they were the first few years, but still kept well.
The biggest problems here are noise from neighbors, parking, and the rental office/management.
I have had a college students under me since I have lived here, and the experience has been less than desireable. Loud vocalizations, door slamming, and loud music as well. Have to agree will other ratings mentioning the fact it's like a college dorm, and all you get from the office is, we can't do anything about it. If you get put into a unit with bad/noisey neighbors, you are stuck with it! It's not because the apartments are not built well either, normal noise, you won't hear!
Parking is a problem, at least around my building. It would seem a "Luxury Apartment" would have assigned parking, but not here. With the college parties downstairs, parking is always a problem, and our neighbors make it a point to make parking a problem. We are always having to park somewhere else due to neighbors guests. In order to be able to park without problems, we have had to rent two Garages at $65 a month each. Again, the office says there is nothing they can do about parking. "Suggestion", two assigned spaces per apartment!
There is a problem with loud vehicles and people driving too fast here too! If you have children or pets, or cross the streets, be very careful!
If you make too many complaints to the office, or get angry with them because they are not protecting your rights as a tennant, you will get ignored, and be treated rudely! They really don't seem to be concerned with making sure that your stay here is the best it can be, and you get your money's worth. They will take care of the unit and the grounds, but if you have other problems, you are on your own. First priority here is keeping the units full!! If they move a bad tennant in beside/under/over you, you have two choices, live with it, or move out! The bad guys seem to have more rights, and you bear the burden of proof of what is going on!
There is a problem with ants in this building, can't seem to get rid of them. They live in the walls, and the pest treatment provided by the complex doesn't seem to be doing any good! They are in all rooms, and have been a problem since move in.
