I have only been here in Magnolia Run for a month now, I have been lied to, disrespected, and discriminated against because of the color of my skin, all by the property manager of the apartments. I am new here to VA, I have never experienced anything like this before as far as the rudeness and the racism. I had an experience in the gym here that is worth going to fair housing over because of the way she talk/treated me and my guest. We were referred to as "its". The property manager tells me No guest is allowed in the gym with me, well I go home to get the lease where I know it states differently so I go back to the leasing office to show her that she misinformed me, and while sitting in the front office she is talking very rudely to someone on the phone and after hanging up she yells "NEXT" (that was her way of telling me to come in the office) no smile with that "Next" to show she may have been joking. While informing her that she misinformed me she basically tells me "so what I will put up signs to say no guest no matter what that lease states". I guess that was the only way she could respond because she was shocked that I could read the lease and point that out to her. I actually went to corporate on her and nothing has been done. I will not rest until I know something has been done. I deserve an apology that is sincere and I no longer want to live here. I am not comfortable using the gym anymore, I probably will feel the same way at the pool. I just think that it is sad if you live some where and it have to be like this. I will be going back to corporate because something has to be done for her ignorance. I am not the first to complain and I am sure I will not be the last. She have talk to me as if I was the scum of the earth and I know for a fact it was because the color of my skin. She referred to a little baby that was with me as "it". First of all I have experienced so many problems and odd situations from day one here. I originally wanted to move in the sister apartments Magnolia Chase, unfortunately, for me no apartments would have been available for the date that I needed. A friend of mine pointed out that Magnolia Run was there sister apartments and she referred some friends here who really enjoy the safety of the neighborhood and the size of the apartments. So I was like what the heck I'll go down there since they are sister apartments, and were suppose to alike in a lot of ways unfortunately it was just looks of the apartments and not the Friendly customer service I experienced at Magnolia Chase. From day I have been lied to about carpet, my son's room is leaks when it rains,the fireplace is a fire with no place,my fridge door don't close,the maintenance call takes weeks(had to report the issue three times before they came to look at it) and many more I wont have time to talk about.I should have listened to my husband when he complained about the customer service he experienced from day one.I would not rest until some punitive measures is taken against them.I would not recommend anyone coming to live here and paying that much;for what discrimination,racism and ignorance'
