The place has really gone down hill since I first moved out here. We have to pay a key deposit for a pool and gym that in in the community. You would think with all of the money we pay out here it would be readily accecible without another fee. They are always coming up with some threat of a way to seeminly extort some more money out of you. We have a office that really gets after you if your neighbor says your television is too loud but we have jets that fly over all night!(Imagine that). You pay a pet deposit when you move in, oh yeah then you have to pay $25 a month to have a pet,. Isnt that why we pay the pet deposit when you move in' All the knobs in my newly remolded place are just falling out. We just got threatend to get fined for trash on your patio, yet there is only one place to empty your trash, and I have been by there several times and the trash compactor has been full! Oh yeah did I mention you have to put your trash in your car to drive it there'

They tell you all of this when you sign the lease. And since when is it okay to leave your trash out on the patio in any place??? The jets are a pain and it would have been nice to know just how loud they were before moving in. Get you a trash can with wheels and you can store your trash in a "trash can" on the patio.

The original poster is entirely correct. Maple Bay townhomes has become an absolutely terrible place to live. The staff is friendly, yet absolutely unwavering in their willingness to address real community concerns. Rent prices (especially month-month) are outrageous considering the depressed economy. The community is especially adamant about imposing unreasonable fees once you move out. They take advantage of their position (holding your security deposit) to ensure that they line their pockets further regardless of how neat and orderly you cleaned your dwelling prior to moving. Maple Bay is easily one of the nicest-looking communities in the area, but that is where its allure stops. Do not be fooled by the niceties. This apartment community will make every attempt to get as much money from you as possible during your stay.
