Management here is the worst!

The management style at Marnier's Cove is schizophrenic- which may account for the vastly different experiences renters are relating. This was the first apartment my military husband and I ever rented, we actually started in a one bedroom the first year and really had no problems- other than the noise you expect living in communal living and with the huge roaches- that the office girls will call "Pimento bugs" (I'm from the south- these are roaches!)The trouble really started when we moved from the one bedroom to a two bedroom. The office staff had changed over by that point and most of the girls left were absolutely snotty and incompetent (Jean being a glimmering exception to the rule), when we did get into our new apartment (after the first one we signed for was reneged on)it had not been cleaned and I had to wait 6 hours for them to get done doing minimal housework (the cleaning lady is related to the snottiest office girl)and even then the place was still dirty and things were in need of repair. We marked that on the inspection, but ended up waiting days for them to do the work and even then- shoty work at best. The maintenance issues continued- bad wiring causing are fridge to go out and spoil all of our food, the bath tub not draining and the paint they use to "coat" the bathtub coming off in patches while you try to bath, and the stove that was older than me and would constantly go out, causing the apartment to smell like gas- I thanked my lucky stars everyday I came home and the building wasn't on fire. The very worst came towards the end of our lease after we had given notice. Management started to renovate the apartment under us (it had molded)but the shady crew they hired to do the work would show up early in the morning -before 7am, and work for an hour or two and leave. They would work on weekends and holidays, and when I complained to the office one of the girls threatened me with physical harm and called me names. When I called the police to report her, they went to the office and talked to her about the issue. The next thing I get is a letter from the management that I am on probation that I am not allowed to have the police come and talk to their employee- crazy, ever heard of the Bill of Rights! I complained to AIMCO about their employees and the way I was being treated and heard absolutely nothing back, even with follow up calls. AIMCO is the management company that hired the snotty office girls, and is the company that supposedly has the "good neighbor" policy- which in theory is suppose to give renters certain rules to fallow and certain rules the complex management will follow- in practice the management doesn't play by it's own rules- the renters are the only ones expected to follow the lease not Mariner's Cove. We broke our lease early and got as far from their as we could and will never rent again. If you never ask management to do anything for you and never complain about the bugs or expect the office girls to provide the services they were hired for than you should be just fine at Mariner's Cove. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone with half a brain or sense of decency.
