My family and I moved into Mariner's Cove and have been up-happy ever since. We have been literally counting the days until our lease expiration! The staff seem friendly at first, but when you are an actual tenant, it seems you "bother" them when you try to make a request for anything. The leasing consultants have inconsistent information... we asked "----" something one day and then they next day "----" is telling us something different and "----" doesn't remember saying it... now on to my complaint list...

Gas Bill: I swore when we were looking to rent, "----" told us that gas would be included with our rent... I even remember asking twice! A month after we moved in, I get the water/gas bill!!! Crazy huh'

Bugs: You cannot walk outside at night without BIG ROACHES crossing your path. They are in our home... in the cabinets, bathrooms... its horrible. My husband jokes that we should start charging the roaches some rent! I clean a dish before I use it now! And I cannot count how many times they say the have exterminated for these things they refer to as PALMETTO BUGS... to me, they are roaches... they gave me some big long useless spill when I called their "Palmetto Bugs" Roaches. There are little spiders all over my apt... I spray bug spray and it doesnt matter! My house is very clean and we still have spiders! I have no pets and find occasional fleas jumping around!

Noise: These walls are made of paper, we can hear neighbors just having a simple conversation talking in a normal level. The floors creak so bad you can't even tip toe without disrupting the downstairs neighbor!

Mold: Both the bathroom floors and under the sinks are growing black mold, its disgusting and I wonder why my kids get sick!

Water: We hardly have hot water pressure and the draining is horrible! They tried to do something with the water nextdoor and flooded my whole apartment with BLACK STINKY WATER. My kitchen flooded one time with YELLOW STINKY WATER.

Pets: They have a pet policy and the deposit/pet rent is outrageous... the pets in the neighborhood bark all night and with our paper thin walls, its ridiculous... there is POOP all over the grass and sometimes the sidewalks!

Parking: We might as well park in the parking garage downtown and walk!! There is never parking close enough to my house.

I AM SO GLAD MY LEASE IS ALMOST UP! NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! I work for a big company and the word got around that Mariner's Cove is aweful! You would expect it to be some sort of section-8 property by the conditions we lived it... not worth the money we paid! We thought by renting at one of the higher priced communities it would be better, i guess you live and learn...

I am just waiting for the staff to post back making it seem like I am lying...

Congrats on your lease almost being up. I am a past tenant as well and I was so glad to finally get the hey-ho out of here. They should seriously consider re-filming the movie The Super here because the conditions are the slums...overpriced slums!

I'm currently a tenant in Mariner's Cove and we've had Mold issues for the past 5 months. They just say it's Mildew and bleach my vent cover. They refuse to do anything and if we want out of our lease we have to fork out the money for it. My kids have been extremely ill but this complex could care less. I can not wait until we can get out of this hell hole!
