Bad & Good About Living Here from a Tenant

I was researching a new apartment complex on here (one closer to my work) and thought I'd look up my current one. My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year in a two bedroom unit. One thing I hate about these sites is that you either have really terrible or glowing reviews - not one in the middle. This apartment complex is not terrible. You just have to keep in mind some of the things that come with apartment living in general. I'll try to give you reading this an idea of what my experience has been like.
Maintenance: The guys are friendly and helpful and usually pretty responsive. When I've needed them, they have been there. However, don't expect glorious workmanship on repairs. It's an apartment complex and they will do what they need to do to just get the job done.
Mainteance Issues with Unit: Flooding from broken AC in unit above me, leaked into bedroom, flooding from upstairs unit that left on water (had to use umbrella to go to bathroom during this time - no joke), garbage disposal sucks - no longer use it as we've had some clogs, Living/Dining Room gets warmer/colder depending on season than the rest of the home due to position of heater
Staff: When I put in a request or have a question, they get things done in a timely manner. They also know me by name and are very friendly.
Crime: I haven't had any issues personally, but I know the tenant who used to live above me was housing her drug selling brother and there was a scene with the police. I haven't heard any issues with the neighbors either.
Parking: I can usually find a spot close to my house. Only tenants can park on the side streets and you get two stickers per apartment. If you come back late at night though, you may have to park further away (I don't think these people ever go out!) Guest parking can be a little far though and isn't marked clearly enough. Be sure to be clear about where to tell guests to park - they will get towed. I had it happen. They DO patrol.
Noise: The upstairs neighbors have kids who like to run around sometimes, but I haven't experienced an issue with it other than that.
Bills: You pay gas/water bill along with electric (and any optional ones like internet). All are pretty reasonable and in line with what I would expect.
Bugs: I've learned from people to just expect some in this area. When I first moved in, I was upset with the number, but after multiple exterminations, I just get the occasional palmetto bug (which is still completely gross). I hope that this situation continues if I do sign another lease!
Positives: plenty of storage space in units, like the layout, staff is helpful, price is very good, neighbors are pretty friendly, parking is good, close to places I need to go and the interstate, attractive property, low security deposit
Annoyances: neighborhood kids like to play soccer in the yard outside my unit and my wall is the goal!, pet deposit is a little overpriced (I pay $25/m for my cat along with the $350 I put down - and I adopted the neighborhood stray - you think I would have done them a favor!), pay $35/m to rent the washer/dryer, but at least they work well and I haven't had too many problems, new management company and they raised my rent more than my neighbor, though I think I may have gotten a move in special (have no idea what is was though), my carpet blows and I hate it, but I know people with carpet that is better (maybe I'll get lucky and they'll replace it this year)
Overall, not a bad deal for the price and it comes with good and bad. Someone will probably claim I'm on the staff because I didn't completely rip the place apart on here, but I'm not. You just have to remember what comes with apartment living and what is the actual fault of the managers.
