My boyfriend and I just moved out after signing a lease to live in HELL! We moved in last year. By the way he is the one who wrote the review titled run don't walk away. Everything he said was true, but I am going to add on. 2 months after moving I came home from work, was in the bathroom, and heard banging on the ceiling. After relieving myself rather quickly, I come into the 2nd bedroom and find a man coming through my ceiling who claimed he was from Verizon coming through the ceiling ion the closet. He was not wearing a shirt nor did he have an ID that said he was from Verizon. I told him "GET THE HELL OUT BEFORE I CALL THE POLICE!" If I was not a saved Christian or in a profession that did criminal backgound checks frequently, I would have beaten him to death and or shot his behind. My boyfriend and I called the management office and they took it lightly like it was not their concern. 2 days later the guys were were wearing ID, but then one of them knocks on the door saying that he needed to come in because he might have left the master key in our place. I told him if we find it we will turn it in. He looked at me like I was supposed to let him mettle in our place. Then 3 days later I came home and there was a snake in the kitchen and when I called emergency maintainance they laughed at me and told me I needed to call animal control! Then the next month I was going out to my car on my way to work and there was a condom filled with who knows what on the hood of my boyfriend's car. 2 months later I had to replace all 4 tires on my car because some teenagers thought it was funny to put nails in my tires in locations that I could not get the tires pluggged, but had to be replaced. Maintainance problems were numerous that the stack of work orders (which I seen when we moved out) was about 2 inches tall! When maintainance comes they are either drunk or high. Here's the best part when we did the move out inspection they tried to charge us for stuff that was a result of their short coming, but they failed because when we moved in the people who did the walk through with us (yes before you move in they do a walk though with you and they decide what descrepencies they want to write down because they have the clipboard, pen, and paper. You don't get 5 days to fill out a discrepency form). Well anyway my boyfriend and I never signed the form because the management was slack and thought they were getting over, but the joke was on them and they could not charge us for anything. God was on our side and we were able to defeat the ----- in the end. If you are considering the Mayfair, aks your self these questions:
1. Do I want to live in Hell'
2. Do I want to throw my money in the trash'
3. Do I want bad things to come to me'
4. Was I taught to settle for less'
5. Would you allow someone to steal from you'
If you answered no to all of the questions, the MayFair is not for you. If you answered yes to any of them I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless You
