My thoughts on this whole B^&%*%^$ stuff is that if you are so dissatisfied WHY the Heck did you stay''''' Hell if it was that bad for you a tent in the woods might have been better for YOU. I on the other hand have had nothing bad happen to me and have lived here for almost 5 yrs. now. Maybe its you that has the attitude because I have been treated with the utmost of kindness, professionalism and if I ever had a problem it has been resolved to my satisfaction. Ya know .. negativity grows negativity. I'm thinking that you all are so down on them that what do you expect them to do for you .. kiss your butt''' This is a decent place to live for the rent we pay.. We have a nice walking trail, a pool, many laundry rooms, a playground and some nice neighbors if you leave your apartment to get to know them. The Office staff is pleasent and knowledgable. Kudo's to Jillian for putting up with all of you and your negative comments. How she smiles with all this is amazing. YEAH for the Mayfair... MY HOME :-)

Perhaps you are one of the few. I didn't move because the wouldn't let me out of my lease. I told them to check the outlets on my initial inspection of the apartment and mentioned it on final walk through. Two months after I moved in the apartment nearly burned down because of a (drum roll....) faulty outlet. I asked and was turned down again when we found a snake in the apartment. Mind you we lived on the second floor. I had the tub drain rust through.. their solution was to put on a temporary patch and remove the stopping mechanism. I also mentioned water damage under the kitchen sink and asked them to inspect the pipes.. 7 mos into my lease the pipe between dishwasher and drain rusted through causing water damage to the carpet and the neighbors ceiling downstairs. They only came to clean up the water, carpet and wall patch (left open) only after I mentioned that if I miss work because of mold problems I'm taking them to court. The A/C broke 4 times between May and September. Members of the maintainance crew showed up with alcohol on their breath at 3 in the afternoon. I think the overwhelming response to this property (18% positive rating) says much more than YOUR overall experience. Oh by the way we finally moved at the end of our lease shortly after someone was murdered on site.

For the one that talked about living in a tent. First off did you live in the apartment with these people who posted negative comments? If the answer is no keep YOUR SH#T to yourself because you don't know SH#T about what these people had to endure and if you knew a thing or two people cannot just get out of their lease it F#CKS up their credit. Anyway get a clue and think about what you say before you say it and still don't say it. BTW I lived in the piss-in-the hallways in NY and I went back to the piss in the hallway projects after I left and my apartment is wonderful.

Listen Mr. Agent Provocateur. This summer was a bummer at Mayfair The air conditioner broke down 2 times. I had to call maintenance to have them fix it, the second time they got it right. Last 5th of July in the morning at 4AM someone lit this huge firecracker that woke me and my girl up at it scared the living daylights out of me. Someone put ramen noodles around the rain gutter next to my apartment. Internet and Cable was out 3 days until they fixed it finally. Somebody played a prank in the laundry room put an ink pen all over our laundry this last weekend, that was mean! We got noisy and nosey neighbors here. The new security program still doe not make this area safe you can still get mugged, there is no security vehicle riding around here protecting us. Just a truck that almost looks like a security vehicle with a light on top with nobody inside still makes you think someone is asleep in there but the truck is empty.

i think people tend to forget that they arent the only one in the complex. and if there is unlivable conditions like water damage bugs etc, there is a thing called the city rental inspector.. who inspects rental housing and will make the management take care of the problem promptly. i've had to do it before, not at mayfair but in another community, and if its not really worth the rent, then maybe you make an esgrow account at the courthouse to without your rent legally until the problems are resolved. its called educating yourself and being proactive. not just sitting back and complaining. plus you get what you pay for, its a cheaper community and they offer low income discounts.. some people are just happy to have a roof over their heads.
