My husband and I have lived here for just under one year and we can't wait to move out. New management is renovating the building. Water is shut off almost weekly for hours at a time, the indoor pool has been closed most of the winter, I have taken a cold shower for the past two mornings since there was no hot water, the hallways smell terrible,and the elevators are always being "serviced." The only thing I will miss about this place is the view I have of the beach, which is minimal at best since most of the apartments here have a view of the backside of the hotel directly across the street. These renovations will continue until each apartment has been renovated. Don't waste your money here. I would suggest looking elsewhere and driving to the beach, since it's cold and extremely windy eight of the twelve months of the year here.

MOVE THE F*** out. We don't want people like you here. MOVE. This is a great building....Stop being trailer trash and just move to your double wide. I live here and I'm happy to be part of The Mayflower.

Dear mfmacquarrie, I'm moving out today into our HOUSE in VA Beach. It seems really immature to call someone "trailer trash" beacause of a review on an apartment website. Note to EVERYONE who thinks of moving in to the Mayflower: These are the people who will be your neighbors. Classy, huh? This place has been a nightmare.

I don't know what Pool you went to but I swim every morning and I know it was shut down for 2 days in January while they repainted it do you even go there or do you listen to other peoples lies.
