Me and two friends have rented the 3 bedroom / 2 bath units for almost a year now, and we all agree, this rocks!

The staff and maintenance are very helpful and fix your problems in a timely manner. The walls lack insulation, so if your neighbor is blasting his music for the party he or she is hosting, you'll hear it. But thats all you'll hear.
The complex is nicely situated in a quite area of Virginia Beach, but isnt far from Pembroke Mall (3 minutes away), the beach (15 minutes away), Naval Station Norfolk (20 minutes away), and many clothing, grocery, food, gas, and entertainment chains.
The unit itself is great! It's spacious, bright, and inviting. Appliences for the most part are only okay. The refridgerator is small, and the pantry isn't very deep. Also, there was NO microwave that came with the unit. The washer is good, but the drier isn't very efficient. We are regularly having to run two or even three cycles to get clothes dry. The water heater is very good; takes less than a minute to get hot water. You could run both showers and still have it hot for the kitchen sink. The bathrooms are little bit tight, but everything works with plenty of light. There are adequate outlets throughout the unit. The walls within the unit are a little thin, and the doors aren't very soundproof. The front door is, however, decent at keeping sound out. There isn't much of a problem with pests. We have had ants once, in the master bedroom. but the staff sent a pest control specialist and he strayed the affected area; haven't had a problem since. There does seem to be a small infestation of Silverfish. I have killed at least 4 this month alone. But they're not a HUGE problem; they like to hang out in the corners between the wall and ceiling. Overall, the unit is an excellent place to live!
The grounds are kept up too. Grass is always cut, shrubs and trees are trimed and pruned back, even new mulch is put down regularly! Rain water drainage is excellent, so you're not dodging puddles after a storm. There is no outside lighting, but the surrounding streetlights from the subdevelopment provides some light. Since the complex and parking lot have been redone, there is some problem with parking. The lot is small; I own a Tacoma, and I find myself having to weasel my way out in the morning. None of the spots are labeled "reserved" or "guests", so im sure half the cars in the lot now aren't registered with the office. It does fill up quick, so if you return home late at night, you'll be parking at the back of the lot. Only once or twice I have had to park on the adjacent side street due to NO parking spots. Parking isn't enforced by the staff either; I have seen the tow truck maybe twice since we have moved here.

All in all, the pros outweigh the cons, and I would highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment to at least check the place out. Me and my room mates like the place a lot, and for $1149 a month, it's worth the cost. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
