Management indeed is not so great. They treat you like a second class citizen and have never been very nice, even before we moved in. Maintenance is indeed prompt, but also the repairs are unreliable. Apartments are not thoroughly cleaned before move-in. I found a cat turd in one of my cabinets. We have had a problem with bugs since we moved in, an exterminating company comes every week, but only treats our apartment, so the bugs inevitably keep coming. Water bills are sketchy at best. I never understood how exactly the bill amount was determined. The master bedroom is large but the apartment as a whole is pretty small with no storage space. I cannot even use my linen closet because of the bug problem. You can hear your neighbors above, below and next door to you. Thankfully, only my upstairs neighbors have been particularly obnoxious. The walls are so thin, you can even hear the elicit bedroom activity of your neighbors. There are no regulations for parking, so if your neighbor has a party, you are out of luck for a parking space. Security stinks, both of my cars have either been broken into or vandalized. The playground is dirty and poorly maintained with outdated equipment. The outdoor lighting cuts in and out and there are times when the parking lot is in almost total darkness. The manager often uses her son to distribute notices and sweep up trash in the parking lot and he can't be more than 13 years old. We only moved here because we were desperate, no one else had the number of bedrooms we needed available.

On the plus side, the view from my apartment is very nice. The laundry room is also kept pretty clean and well maintained. I also like my neighbors for the most part and there are plenty of other kids in the neighborhood for mine to play with. Also the rent is relatively inexpensive for the area and the schools are good.
