How much are you willing to sacrifice'

My family and I have lived here for just over a year and a half now and I have never had to deal with such incompetent people in a rental office/property management. While it is a great neighborhood, safe and friendly, and it seems the price is great for the area, you are definately paying for having sub-par managment. As long as you never need anything from the office you are fine. But when something breaks or you need paperwork or are trying to interact with the office in any way, plan on waiting 2 months or fixing it yourself. In a year and a half I have met six different maintenance men. The buildings are nice enough but old so you have some things going out every now and again (broken drawers, leaky faucets, outlets not working) and most of the time I have had to find ways to fix it myself. Which is still better than waiting because when they finally get here to fix something, they do a very poor job and use the cheapest means possible. They are SO cheap it's ridiculous. They cut corners at every possible chance. So while it is nice to have your own trash cans, driveway and mail boxes, you have to be willing to deal with the lack of professional management and proper maintenance.
