Two years ago I moved in to a wonderful apartment with a wonderful management. About a year ago, that all changed. It started when the AC broke and till this day is not fixed. They seem to think that a light air flow is fine. I need to keep the thermostat on 60 degrees ALL day to even cool down a little bit. I heard squirrels in my bedroom ceiling. I complained three times and was promised that traps would be set. They never were. About a month after that, I lost electricity in half my apartment. I called the office and they told me they would be over to fix it. For one WEEK, they would come every day and tell me that it worked and I didn't know what I was talking about. What was happening was that it would short out after ten minutes of flipping the fuses. After numerous complaints and calling the corporate office, they hired a contractor. Within five minutes, he found the problem. The electricity wasn't grounded and was shorting out on the hot water heater. That is also why I had SPARKS coming from the hot water heater (WHICH MAINTENANCE TOLD ME WAS NORMAL). The contractor told me that not only could my apartment have burned down, but that I would have touched it I would have gotten electrocuted!!! I was seven months pregnant at the time so it wouldn't have just hurt me, but my baby too. Then, the squirrels came back! I called the office and again they did nothing. Then a few days later the squirrels came through the ceiling and into the bedroom. I called the office again and they told me that I had never called to complain and this is the first they have heard about the problem. They had maintenance screw a board over the hole and told us that was how it was going to be fixed until they could come back next week. Well, it's been two weeks and they have not come back or called. The squirrels are STILL up there chewing holes into my bedroom. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!! If you do decide to rent, enjoy the crunching noises you will hear when you step on the cockroaches that live under the carpet!!! No, I am NOT kidding! This place may not look dirty and disgusting, but I promise you, give it time and you will see that this is the truth. I wish someone would have told me these things before I wasted my money! Go rent somewhere else. Happy apartment hunting!!!
