from a law enforcement officer- look elsewhere

I stayed here way too long, mostly because I knew I was leaving end of 2005/2006 and didn't want to pack up my things twice.

If you have a dog, I do have to say the grounds are most ideal for the pooches. The downside: 1/2 the residents with dogs won't pick up their dog's poop and you step in it almost daily.

I have had numerous problems with tenants playing their music so loud I can hear it above my TV. The construction/insulation is horrible/nonexistent. The management staff did very little, even after I informed them that my upstairs neighbors were engaged in a physical altercation, which I went to break up (and discovered there was marijuana involved). About two weeks later, the same residents were involved in a domestic dispute and city police responded- it took management staff another two months to evict them. My new neighbors have their music blaring again. lucky me. If you like quiet, I would not consider this complex. The majority of the renters are young and like to party. Most mornings you will find empty beer bottles laying around near the parking lot.

My apartment had no updates since the original construction- old fixtures galore(although I got a new stove after my 1980's one kept burning everything). A lot of things were dirty when I moved in- the cabinent door ledges. It looks better now than it did when I moved in. The rent kept going up, yet no improvements. It was 1050 or so when I left, including my $25/month pet fee. Not worth the money at all. I have a coworker at Marina Shores and she described my complex as "ghetto".

Small, outdated fitness room, but nice pool (you have to pay $2 for each guest)

Safety wise, pretty good area, and awesome location-less than five minutes to 264 and the new Town Center. In the middle of all the Navy bases. The location is probably the best asset, but not worth it. Parking is very good as well.
