I was very surprised to see the lastest review on this site, because I have lived at south lake for 5 years now, and will be relocating only because of my job transfer. I'm pretty involved in the community, and haven't ever heard of anything like that happening. All I know is that it's a beautiful property, and has always proven safe for me, and my friends here!

I imagine this has been kept quiet at the office so no one would know.
Apparently you were in a much safer zone of South Lake Apartments if you never heard of any of this happening. Did you receive one of those notes with concerned residents talking about their cars being broken into? That happened about a month before our incident. This complex is not safe with the decline of the outlying neighborhoods.
I never had a problem with any of our neighbors, they were all nice. The problem like I said is the neighborhoods around South Lake Apartments.
I hope all of you will take this into consideration before you think about moving in.
Our Apt was in building 621.
