If you are even considering moving here just slap yourself in the face and kick the wall with no shoes. If you do this you will probably feel just as frustrated as if you have lived here for one week. I moved here b/c I am in the military and I really didn't know the area. I really regret not doing more homework. The apartment is so small for the amount of rent you pay. The area is not good at all, as I will explain further later. The management is the worst I have ever met. The grounds are not really kept up, and very misused.
First, I will talk about the amount of space you get. After some research I have found that for the amount of rent I pay I could get an apartment with about 300 more sq. ft. The apartment is small just like other apartments, but other apartments are cheaper. In this apartment complex you are not paying for the space or the amenities you get you are paying to live in the nicest apartment in the ghetto. This is an oxymoron, b/c the nicest apartment in the ghetto is STILL in the ghetto, no matter how much you paint it.
Next, let??s talk about the area this apartment is around. A couple of weeks ago I was at a friend??s house 6 blocks away. There were 26 shots fired at a house right it front of us. Yes I know it did not happen at this apartment complex, but six blocks away is way to close for comfort. There has been numerous car break inn??s. Since I have lived here I have known 13 people to have their car broken into. Across the street there are town homes that at about 4:00 on a daily basis you will see guys with Slim Jims (used to pick car locks) walking around. I have notified the cops but in that area they are so busy with actual crimes that they can't take time to prevent crimes.
Finally, lets talk about the management, or lack there of. I have lived in 6 different states and 2 different countries and still I have never met office managers that are so lazy, and outright mean. Since the new management took over I can't wait to move out. I actually have a calendar with the days counting down until I move out. That is sad months before I can move I am already chopping at the bit to get out of here. The maintenance staff is really good I have nothing but nice things to say about them. Every time I have asked them directly for something it has happened. Ask the office and all you will get is "When it becomes a priority we will fix it." By the way that problem was about water pipe that busted, which to me is a real priority.
I do have many bad things to say about this place and few good. The bad/annoying are just happening all the time. If you decide to live here I hope you enjoy the place, but all I ask is do some research. Compare other apartments to this one there are way more apartments that are better for the same price. Once again the nicest apartment in the ghetto is still in the ghetto. Thank You
