We moved to Summer Station last year. When August rolled around we had our first issue and I can't believe I didn't sue the pants off these people. It was right before Labor Day weekend, when Tropical Storm Ernesto rolled through. It was 12 at night and I noticed leaking on my ceiling (we lived on the 3rd floor corner apt), so I called maintenace. After the 4th time calling at 12am, 3am, 5 am, and then finally walking down to the office, they showed up. They came and did rediculous things and really just made it worse (see the pictures). When all this happened they told it was safe to live there and I had to really push them to give us a hotel. When they finally agreed they said ok but only at $50 a night, but eventually bumped it up to $70 - how nice - in virginia beach on Labor day weekend. So after all that BS they moved us to Station East on Rosemont. When they moved us we had to extend our lease otherwise the rates could go up at anytime and they also offered to take care of the transfer hassels for electric, water etc. The ended up suing us for $600 for the electric bill when most of it was late fees, court fees, and attornies fees. So since then they have been completely rude and fake. They have given us numerous complaints to myself and ALL the neighbors around me about christmas lights, wind chimes and hanging plants being up and if we didn't take them down then they were going to take them down, throw them away, and charge us for the removal. We live in the back so we dont have nice shrubs and mulch surrounding our door, so we decided to take it upon ourselves to make it look nice and presentable. We were just trying to make our home look a little nicer than what THEY gave us and they are punishing us for it. We also had this huge piece of metal molding hanging off the side of the roof on the building next to us, and we called and called to have them come remove it because we were worried abouy someone getting hurt and they never did. One day it just came flying down and we called to them that it fell and they didnt even come pick it up. Parking at Station East is rediculous. I have complained numerous times about people parking in motorcycle parking or double parking and they dont doanythiing about it. Sometimes we dont even having parking coming home late on the weekends. One night there werent any spots available and we'd be damned if we parked on the street next to us so WE parked in motorcycle parking. These are just come of the things that go on. That doesn't even cover the mold (which in our lease states that there is nothing we can do if we dont see it within the first 5 days of move in) insects, mice and things that just fall apart in the apartment. So if you would like to move here - good luck and have fun with no roof, no decorations and mold that has now given me allergies!! Be very careful, and be even more careful of the management that act like they are there to help you and stab you in the back in the meantime. :) Oh yea and one day I locked myself out of the house by accident and my neighbor came over and opened my door with a credit card, how awesome is that' I deadbold my APT now.

I am confused about the electric bill? You were sued by Summer Station for that? Or the electric company?

Oh yeah- they rebill you if you don't have the power in your name and if you don't pay them back then it does get turned over to their attorney. Was that the case with you? Did you just not pay Summer Station what you owed them for electric?

I agree; the management was the worst I have ever seen. The apartment manager was the nicest lady until we told her we wanted out of the apartment due to the living conditions and were going to use legal action if we werent able to do so. She then informed us she was no longer allowed to talk to us and couldnt have been more rude.
