If you listen to everyone that is complaining about this apartment then you will miss out on a very nice place to live.
I've lived here since 2004 and even then this was a nice place to stay. Since I moved in I've had the fridge, oven, range, washer & dryer, and dishwasher replaced with new ones. Every other apartment complex I've lived in has never done that for me. Now, people will complain about the parking, and honestly the parking is trouble at times. But, when you have more than one vehicle per apartment you SHOULD EXPECT that when you sign your lease. When I first moved here you had assigned parking spaces and that was nice, but those people that have more than one car per apartment would have trouble. If you have a problem with parking here all you have to do is check for parking stickers on cars. If they don't have a sticker call and have them towed. I've done it on several occassions and believe me it feels really good when you see that idiots car being towed especially late at night. Thats the best time to call and have the cars towed. Then when the offender gets up in the morning and has to go to work,,,,"where's my car"!!!! LOL Its a classic move and I suggest that more people that live here now should do it. Those people that have complained about noise really shouldn't be complaining. They SHOULD EXPECT to have noisy neighbors. You would have to be a COMPLETE FOOL to believe that you aren't going to hear the people that live above you or below you. I've never had any issues with maintenance either. Honestly, the people that are complaining are probably the type of tenants that are late with the rent or can't comply with the rules. If you are worried about people hanging out in the parking lot call the police and ask them to do a drive through in the area. The police will be more than happy to send a squad car over just to drive through. That usually makes the undesirable element leave and go inside. Summer Station is a great place to live and those that don't live it are just plain wrong. Most of the time those that are complaining the loudest are the ones that are the cause or part of the problem.

You are not right about the ones complaining are late on rent.....I've never been late on my rent but I seem to get an attitude from one specific person in the office and I HATE dealing with her. Everyone else has been really nice. I called about an issue I had the day after I moved in and she immediately got an attitude w/me on the phone stating it can't be fixed if I don't call and that's the reason why I called! So late on rent has NOTHING to do with having issues where you live!

Then again I think you need to come back to reality and realize that you are living in an apartment complex in the middle of Virginia Beach. You obviously aren't from here and are military. You or your boyfriend were forced to move to Va Beach on orders. So, of course your bitter about that and then you act like your living in a HOUSE. Wake up!

I had no problem living in an apartment and I had no problem hearing things from our neighbors through the walls. I had a problem with the two faced staff that would rather you live in a hazardous apartment (mold rats and mice) then care about my health and safety. Their manager Christina is a big you know what and their laywer(Patish) is a money grubbing a-hole. I eventually went to JAG and the Navy is getting ready to blacklist them because they are fed up with this place and taking advantage of everyone...Even the people who ARENT in the military (to the person above) I had numerous people around me that weren't military that had the same problem we did!!

I have lived at Summer Station Apartments before. I lived there for 2 years and only moved due to military orders. There are complaints from one person throughout this whole site and it's VERY hard for me to believe that if you have honestly went to the office with your complaints that they wouldn't be addressed and taken care of. I understand the car being broken in to but the entire city unfortunately seems to be overtaken with crime. Just knowing the staff I think it's unfair of you to say that they do nothing-- I know if given the chance they would help anyone!!

The staff never takes care of complaints. They snidely tell you they'll get around to it but they never do.
