There are lots of differing opinions on this site regarding Summer Station. Everyone has there own experience living here, so I'll just tell you about mine without belittling the others.

I am in the military, and I was "forced" under orders to move to Virginia from San Diego, so needless to say I was less than thrilled. I had little time to find a place to live as I was an emergency replacement on one of the ships. I called almost every apartment complex in Virginia Beach, and found Summer Station to be the most helpful. The person I contacted, Tiffany, was extremely helpful and made all the arrangements over the phone, and was very patient with me as I got everything set up.

My move-in was seamless, everyone was great. I soon deployed, and while I was gone had a problem with my pay (they didn't give me enough!!) and a rent check I had left bounced. They knew I was gone, so they didn't take any action against me, and when I pulled into port, I called and explained what had happened and straightened everything out. Lindsay was great, and took care of everything so that I would have an apartment to stay at when I returned from overseas.

After coming back, I gladly renewed my lease, and have had nothing but exceptional service since. I have had a few problems with equipment, but what apartment renter hasn't' I don't judge based on how many problems (even though there have only been 2.) I judge them on how quickly they are taken care of for me. When I had the garbage disposal go out, there were maintenance people in to take care of it that day, and it was a weekend! My air conditioning went our right in the middle of summer, and the maintenance staff worked very hard to get it up and running again.

Granted, I typically only go into the office to drop off a rent check or pick up one of my UPS deliveries, but everytime I do I am greeted with a wonderful attitude and called by name and by the time I get to the office, they've already got the package ready! I can't speak for the others that have posted here because I haven't shared their experiences. All I know is that Christina and Lindsay are the most capable and friendly leasing staff that I have ever worked with, and I've been in the military for 12 years and have had 9 different addresses. If you're looking for a place to live, I strongly recommend giving Summer Station a look.
