I've lived here for close to SIX YEARS and some things have changed for the better. Yes, a while back they had some MAJOR problems with their maintenance workers who would never fix anything and you pretty much had to do it yourself (that's cool with me somewhat). And they are overly extreme with having no kind of grace period for paying rent. THAT is really bad. Due on the first, and only the first. This is the only apts I've lived in that only had ONE day to pay my rent. All other places had a 3 to 5 day grace period. But I have to say that in the last year I've seen a LOT of improvements. For example the maintenace is very quick to respond now and they are on point now with checking things out for you if you ask. (Whether you're Hispanic, Black, or White I might add, so step off of the race thing! Let it go!) Also, if you pay your rent ON TIME, ALL the time, there's no problems. Compared to some of the crap "apts" I've lived in growning up in Norfolk... these are VERY nice for the price and location. I LOVE it here. You make it what you want it, that's all. If you don't like it, go to other apts and see if you get the same things we have, with the same kind of location, and schools. You won't.

well first off everybody has an opinion and i have lived out norfolk all my life and have been through the rough and now i have a TOWNHOUSE AND LOVING IT.I HAVE LIVED OUT THERE LONGER THAN YOU AND HAVE MY KIDS STILL IN GOOD SCHOOLS IN VA.BEACH SOOOOO...DONT TELL ME ABOUT STEP OFF THE RACE THING SHUT UP WAIT UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO YOU..AND STEP AWAY FROM APTS. AND GO HOUSE AND STOP SAYING GO TALLWOOD APTS!!??...GET A LIFE

First of all STANTEE3, you're silly and GHETTO! Ok, so you have a house, GOOD FOR YOU. Not everyone has to own a house! For instance, I have owned a home before and now enjoy the carefree lifestyle that an apartment provides. Something goes wrong with the dishwasher, poof, CALL MAINTENANCE, they fix it and I pay nothing. You on the other hand have to have yours fixed at your expense. PLUS you don't 'OWN" it until you pay off that 30 year note. So, therefore, YOU SHUT UP. DUMMY! LOL! And please, step off the race thing, it's old and tired. And yes, I am black. It won't happen to me, I carry myself in a dignified, respectful manner. Toddles.....

HAHA! Thank you "anonymous"! I think someone "else" may need to "get a life", because this site that I commented on is a "RATINGS" site for these apartments!! Helloooo?? I think its funny really. (The first response). Also, I'd like to mention that I am racially mixed so don't think I'm clueless about racial problems. There are still some things we ALL need to work on. However, my comments on here about Tallwood is a positive thing because there are a LOT of different races here and I LIKE it that way. I've lived in all black neiborhoods and mostly racially mixed neiborhoods and I like being here at Tallwood because it is mixed with all kinds of folks. Stop all the hatin' and go for yours sista. That's good that you have a house! Personally I like having the easiness (like anonymous said) of calling someone when something???s broke and also NOT having to cut my grass every week. That's just me. You have a townhouse, that's a beautiful thing girl. To each their own. PEACE!

GRACE PERIOD IS NOT UP TO AN APARTMENT COMPLEX ITS THE LAW THEY ARE REQUIRED TO GIVE U TIL THE 5TH IF THEY DONT KINDLY OFFER THEM A COPY OF THE LANDLORD TENANT ACT

My husband an active duty military and we saw these apartments online, we want to move there, looks nice. Always everywhere from the most expensive apartments you'll find undesirable people. People should live their lives and forget the others, there is that the problems begin. In addition I do not know why people are still uneducated about racism, go to the university or College. Sorry about that but I am Hispanic and bothers me that people continue to discriminate against other races.
