Experience: I have lived at waterfront apartments for 2 years. My first year I was on the old side. I had the bottom floor and that was a problem when it rained and in the summer. When it rained I got water bugs and spiders. In the summer, I got lots of spiders. The apartment in general is very nice but the old side needs to be renovated. The cabinets are old and there is not much closet space. So ask to be on the new side and don't pick the bottom floor because during the hurricane lots of apartments were flooded out.
Now I am on the new side on the 3rd floor. I love it up here. I have a huge walk-in closet and fireplace. I do have pigeon problems but I don't go out on the balcony very much.
Maitainence is great...I put in a request and they respond immediately. I hate the satelight cable when there is a storm or strong wind your favorite station will go out for a long time.
We did have a problem with people partying, but they were eventually put out after the complaints. The parking is bad because there is no assigned parking. We sometimes have to park in the next court because all the spaces are full.
Office staff is ok..sometimes they can seem a little lost in what they are doing. I did have a few instances where one particular staff memeber totally ignored me when I went in the office. And as for those of you in the military...they gave us a hard time at move in with the paper work. It took us a full week to get our paper work done and the lease signed. We were told that they had everything they needed then they turned around and said they needed more from my husband's comand. It was a lot of back & forth stuff that became very frustrating. I could not get a hold of the manager. Every time I called he was out or in a meeting or they were just lying to me..
All in all compared to other places on the review Waterfront is a good place to live just don't live on the bottom floor.
