Too Expensive

Our rent was 800$ for a 2 bedroom last year, this year it went up by 50$. One of the main selling points was free gas/hot water and now they are taking even that away. We just found out they are installing devices to monitor gas usage so we will be paying ALL utilities if we decide to sign a lease for another year. Their logic is the rent won't be as high if THEY don't have to pay for gas (heat/hot water/cooking)... BUT they aren't lowering rent to compensate for the gas cost we will be covering are they' No. I was told they will most likely raise rent again next year!
Also, the fees for requesting to get out of your lease early are absurdly high- 4 months rent (standard is two months). Month to month lease fee is 130$ extra on top of "street rent".
It's just not worth it for what you get- a half size w/d and not enough space!
