Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I moved into Woodshire because I was in a hurry to get out of the Navy lodge. The staff was really friendly. Before I moved in I asked to see the apartment, the manager told me to come back the next day after it had been painted. I came back, told him everything I wanted changed, sure enough, everything got changed. They even replaced the cabinet in my bathroom. My apartment is a good size, compared to other places I looked at. I've never had a problem with safety. Of course I always keep my door locked. It looks like they are trying to clean up the area b/c it is near the town center. There are a few problems. I have seen three roaches. I have a three year old who likes to carry food around so that could be because of him. Coming into the complex, people tend to speed through the parking lot. They should invest in speed bumps. The pool is pretty old looking. They don't have too many lounge chairs and only one table. Access to the restroom at the pool, you have to go through a storage area, which apparently was suppose to be a clubhouse. All my neighbors keep to themselves. If I ever call for maintenace it gets taken care of quickly, as long as I can reach somebody. I have never been able to get anyone for an afterhours emergency. The patio is kind of smaThe washer and dryer are economy, which means they are super small. Don't even think about washing a blanket in them. My utilites during the winter averaged 125.00 a month, not including electric. I think that is pretty expensive. Its not a new complex, so you can't really compare it to one. My rent is lower because they have the Military partnership program. I guess thats pretty much it.
