This is a great place to live. The apartment complex is older, so of course you will have various problems, however, we have never had any major problems and have been living here for about a year and a half. The office staff is very friendly, and even bought my newborn son a present! The community feels fairly close knit, and the walls are pretty thick (we rarely hear any of our neighbors). The apartment is spacious and looks very nice from the outside. We've NEVER had any bug problems, and the area is very safe. There are quite a few kids who live here, we see them getting on the bus in the morning. It is also very conveniently close to the Farm Fresh, and just up the road from Busch Gardens. I would definitely recommend living here!

This person's character is in line with their grammar and writing skills.
All appliances are new and are replaced ongoing before they ever wear out; All countertops are either brand new or fairly new but being replaced by higher style tops; ALL electrical has been redone inside and out and the plumbing is fine and fixed whenever there is a problem - just as is everything at Colonial Towne. Maintenance is second to none - period. I've lived at high-end apartments where it wold take three days to get a kitchen sink unstopped. Here, they make it a policy to have all service calls done w/i 24 hours. Most are taken care of the day they are reported, and they have 24-hour maintenance, so it feels good to know that if you have an emergency with your apartment, someone is always on call to take care of it.
The person who wrote this probably lived there so long, maybe some of his or her appliances had problems. Its hard to say why they would say things are old there - its simply not true (well, some of the RESIDENTS are, but that's because they've lived there so long!). The only thing old is the buildings themselves which are well-maintained. The rents are the best in town, considering all you get and the amazing location.
Best value in Williamsburg by far. Don't believe me? Try and rent an apartment there. Colonial Towne is one of the few places in the whole area that often has a waiting list.
