The big problem I have had with this apartment complex is the different standards they have for the white community and the ----- community. The ----- community (including staff members) can work on their cars. I was working on my neighbor's car, and the same staff member that was working on his car three days before told me I could not work on my car. I told him it was my neighbor's car and would only take ten minutes. He still wouldn't allow me to finish the car. I found out later that he talked to my neighbor the day before and offerd to fix her car for her. mmmmmmm One rule for whites and one rule for ------. Maintenance also took three months to fix a shorting out light fixture (a fire hazard). Not to mention the three times I have caught people in the stairwell of one of the buildings that backs up to the government housing using drugs. I reported it to management along with a souvenir my child found on the way from the playground to our building (an empty drug bag). Management never acted upon any of the reportings. And to top it all of, first month of moving in a shoot out in one of the apartments occurred. Yes, real guns. Real gunfire. Welcome to the ghetto.

hmmmmm wow I take it you are one of the people that has her husband here and not overseas. I am stuck in a year long lease. if I had the means to move I would have. I'm sorry I don't have all the money that you seem to have, just to cut off my lease and move when and where I want to. When I moved here the place was nice, in the last two months I have seen more fire trucks and police cars then I have seen in the last year! the complex next to us is probably the worst getteo I have ever seen and they keep spilling over to this community. About the gunshots, and everything else the post above has was true. mabye you don't wish to believe it or mabye like the other posters to this sight have figured out, you sound just like one of the staff members in the "club house." In fact you sound just like the one who sat there and told me that there was nothing you could do about the problem. As soon as my lease is up I am moving me and my child as far from this place as I can. You can keep this place, and the poor excuse of a staff. It's sad when the staff has to attack the real renter's reviews with thier "Disney" version of this place. Renters please before you rent here make sure you look ALL AROUND the place including the getto next door. don't put your children, pet's or even your self at risk. This place is not worth it.

I really can not believe this sort of thing is going on in that community!!!!! Because if it is and your child is finding drug bags on the ground on the way from the playground and you still live there. WOW what does that say about what kind of parent you are!!!! Oh and not to mention all of the gunfire that is going on around you!!!! I guess the situation is not that bad for ya......Anyone who reads this and wants to know the real deal just go on to the local James City County web site and find out the crime in the area. Easy to do!!!!
