I lived in Steeplchase Apartments for three years (just moved out in June, '05) while attending college. Choosing to live there was the best housing decision I have ever made. The apartments are spotless - I never had a bug/rodent problem...ever. Each apartment is equipped with extra nice amenities, including dishwasher, central air, full-size fridge, full-size kitchens/bathrooms, and a full-size washer and dryer in each unit! The floorplans are cozy and logical - some two bedrooms even have two baths (perfect for roommates)! I never had a problem with noise (mostly old people who live there anyways) - in fact, if I didn't run into them every once in awhile, I would swear that I had no neighbors. Also, extremely safe. As a woman living alone, I never worried about security, even when walking in very late at night. The staff was alwasy extremely attentive - the two problems I had (washer knob came off, window wouldn't shut) were handled the same day I put in the request. The management was always friendly and greeted me by NAME (they even waived to me when I passed them, each and every time without fail).
The location is stunning - they could've crowded the natural wood setting with extra units, but instead left woods and open fields for kids/pets (speaking of, they allow all size dogs and are very pet friendly). The pool was huge and in great shape, and there is even a jacuzzi! My only regret is that I couldn't magically transport my apartment with me when I move :( I miss my apartment...Steeplchase rocks!
