I lived here with a roommate for one year. The only good thing I have to say about it is that the apartments are spacious. That aside:
-When we moved in, there was kitty litter strewn across the floor of the bathroom. Don't they clean when a unit is vacated'
-There were rust stains in the bathroom sinks, big spackled patches on the walls, and the towel rack would fall out of the wall if anything too heavy (like...towels) was placed on it.
-There was a big roach problem. The roaches have infested the entire complex. Nothing you personally do can keep them away. My roommate and I never kept food out, cleaned often, used airtight containers, it didn't matter. I heard from previous tenants (friends of friends) that it'd been a problem for them too.
-We also experienced a ladybug infestation during the warmer months. That was interesting.
-The buildings themselves are made cheaply. As a result, my upstairs neighbor's alarm clock woke me every morning, and we could smell cigarette smoke near our adjoining walls when the next door neighbor lit up.
-We experienced a police chase that ended in the complex at 3AM with sirens and bullhorns and everything, and witnessed one domestic dispute.
-Management changed hands during our residency there, and the tenants were not notified at all. While both new and old management were unfriendly and generally sub-par, the new people "lost" our rent one month and refused to reimburse me for the $35 I had to pay the bank to cancel my check.
-The windows in my bedroom did not close all the way.
I think that's about it. After reading this, why anyone in their right mind would want to live here is beyond me.
