Nightmare on Merrimac Trail

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I honestly wish I had known this site was here before signing a lease here last year. The only thing at this point I am thankful for is that my year in hell is almost over. Fortunately I have not had the issues with cockroaches that some others have -- there have only been a couple here and there. But, I do have other issues.
One of my biggest issues is that the office staff gives out the keys to your apartment to contractors and they come walking right in without any notice. Maintanence staff does the same.
Repairs are never done. There were problems with my apartment when i moved in that still haven't been corrected almost a year later. For example, cracked window, bad refrigerator seal, no bars on the door shelfs to hold food in place. My kitchen cabinets were replaced in September and the work from that hasn't been completed and my kitchen looks like crap. They replaced the vanity in the master bath in November and have yet to fix the walls or floor.
This place is a drug haven -- three drug busts from what I understand within the last year or so. The most recent one took place just a few short weeks ago and made the front page news of the Virginia Gazette -- meth lab bust. The sad part is that the individuals were allowed to return to their apartments after posting bail. I have heard of prostitution going on. Just this past weekend a 14 year old girl had to be rushed to the ER when she was unable to walk anymore as a result of drugs, alcohol, or both and was supposedly abducted.
It is known as the "hood of Williamsburg" and I can tell you it is quite an expensive "hood".
