Ok so we all have different opinions, so that we must respect. This is the "ghetto"-ist looking place on Merrimac Trail itself. The internal fixtures of the apartments are OLD. You sure wouldn't have to worry about someone breaking in and not being able to call 911 in time because you will hear them. The floor creaks with any little move that you make!...I have not seen any roaches or mice or what have you. Some of the people here are friendly, while others are just unpleasant and LOUD. There are a lot of school age children in the area, skate boarding outside and sometimes can get relatively loud. There are decals that are to be placed on every vehicle that belongs to you and you also receive two visitor passes, which if you lose you will have to pay a fine. The playgroud is not one for toddlers or young children. I have seen glass on the grounds of the playground and few ciggarette buds. There is an onsite pool that not even crazy would I attempt to put my children in or myself. If there is glass on the grounds of the playground who knows what will be in the pool! The office staff while friendly and personable, are uneducated. If they send out letters to all apartment community members, there are plenty of misspelled words. I believe that it doesn't take someone with a B.A or even an A.A. to be a leasing consultant but at the same time, if you are representing a community why wouldn't you at least run a spell check'...I have had no personal problems with the staff here besides observing and coming to find out that they are not business like and need to exemplify a bit of education when they speak or write a general letter. It is a bit depressing living here. When you drive by all the other apts on this same street they do not look half as bad as here. They have this "no deposit" scheme going on which is beneficial if you are in a financial "pickle" like most of us can be at times but with that said it is a plot to lure you in. The community is pretty noisy from garbage trucks to people with loud cars driving by at random times. If you are used to that then it shouldn't be a problem. We have had problems with our heat/a.c when we first moved in (didn't work). We called and complained and the main. man came and fixed it within two business days. Helpful, no complains there. Over all personally I wouldn't choose to live here again. With that said I would personally recommend doing a walk through of the apartment you will be living in and see for yourself before you sign the lease. I hope I helped anyone who will be looking to consider the village of woodshire to rent.
