This is by far the worst management company that I have ever rented from.I lived in one of their apartments in Newport News, VA and because I would not put up with the drugs, the mold,no working stove for 5 months and the neighbors they told me that they would let me out of the lease only if I moved to another one of their properties, I did that. Looking back now I should have taken the skip that they were going to get me with if I did not move to their properties. The village of woodshire rented me an apartment on last saturday, when I arrived they stated to me that they strongly recommended that I bomb for bugs, I had to put the money out myself with the guarantee that I would be reimbursed- that is not going to happen. Upon return to the apartment after the bombs had been released hundreds of cockroaches had come out of the walls and ceilings. It was literally covering all of the walls and floors. When I called the assistant manager over to see the apartment she stated to me after several phone calls that it was my problem and we could live with it. The manager,if you could call her that, refused to even talk to us. I had a truck with all of my belongings in the driveway and two children with no place to go! After two hours of debate and my stating that I would call an attorney they came up with another apartment in the same complex which had not been cleaned from the previous tenant by did not have any visible signs of roaches-a step in the right direction. This apartment has a leaking ceiling in the bathroom and the neighbors dogs go to the bathroom at will at our back patio door, whether we are standing there or not. There is also garbage constantly strewn about and hot and cold running teenagers attempting to run you over with their skateboards or you have to fight your way through them to get up the stairs that lead to your apartment. And to be perfectly honest I have heard truck drivers with cleaner mouths. None of this is ever addressed but park your car without an office issued permit and that they address immediately, they will have you towed.Apparently a vehicle is much more of an eyesore then the garbage that is strew about. They will not refund the money that I spent on bug bombs even though I was promised this repeatedly.These individuals that run and represent this company are downright rude and ignorant. I am 47 years old and I have never been subject to this kind of treatment in my entire life.They charge over $1000.00 a month to live this way,I believe that this falls under the category of "such a deal I have for you". I would recommend that anyone looking for a place to live keep looking, it is well worth the money to pay a little extra but not have the aggravation and yes I am looking for somewhere else -skip or no skip.
