As I was shopping around I saw that this place had more remarks than any other place in Woodbridge so I stopped by after a read the comments ?Potomic Vista?. I was like what the hell is going on around here' Even thought Bayvue Apartments is nothing more than a big ghetto ?I am also going to put this on their site? I will mention them too because I also stopped by there. I even called the police department to check on the crime status in the area not impressed. Even thought some of the things that have been passed or said about Vista are not all on filed Bayvue has so many things on file that it makes you buy 20 locks, park your car across the way in the naval housing and take a taxi home. Bayvue is one big section 8 and Vista is getting their slowly. I would agree with both Mr. Kirlkland and the VP lady that made the respond to him. He did say that the area wasn?t that good, and that he wasn?t too happy with everything. If you go on with your life and really don?t care what?s going in the complex that might work. Most of us are like that. If you care about the complex and the people around like the young lady that responded to his comments that also works too. Both of you touched on it on the nose its not the people that are their right now who you have the biggest problem with it?s the people above them ?who you don?t see ? who you should complain to. They are the ones who really don?t care because they are not there. Its like you?re beating up on the person giving you the message but not the person who is sending it. If the property staff left some would get promoted and the others would just go to other properties. The new Staff would be new faces but the same policies would be applied because its not them making the call. ?that?s how I have seen it but I could be wrong?. The buildings are old and kids run the neighborhood. Every other day some thug pulls the fire alarm thinking its funny, but nobody ever sees anything. I can?t believe there is no security in the area. For the money that anybody pays they should at least fell safe walking home. Rent increase was something that was brought up a lot that does happen anywhere you go, you just hope that the extra money goes back into the place not into some VP pockets that lives in 400 thousand houses in Alexandria. Bayvue staffs were friendly and polite but never really answer any of the questions I asked, plus they said that things rarely happens around there. Vista staff was polite and friendly and answer all of my questions besides the crime in the area but told me to check the police status by calling them. Both places showed me nice apartments, in which I knew that I wouldn?t be staying at. In the Bayvue there were roaches running on the wall but the young lady just kept on talking like she did see it, that was nasty. Now Vista had kids all over the place, we had to walk around them just to get in. Once again I wouldn?t move into this area because of what?s go on at night. The property mangers can?t control other people, especially badass kids ?that?s the parents job? but they can control their staff and help keep the maintanace up on the property besides collect a check. Crime they can?t control but a hole in the ceiling they can. I did see that you said one of the maintance men stole something, but then you mention something about someone getting fired. ?that tells me someone is doing their job?, even if it?s a small thing. I did like the idea about the meeting with the upper staff, but Kirkland was right about it being a rented property, there is no ownership. So it will not be in the best interest of upper to do that. For the young lady who responded to Kirkland as an out spoken voice in the community I would request the same meeting but with law enforcers and ask the staff specially the managers to attend. That some times helps, than putting bad e-mails that nobody is going to read and care about, because people still need a place to stay even if its not at the level that it should be. I already know your smart because of all the info you display on the upper staff on the net. I don?t even know who my VP is to where I am leaving now, but besides just complaining and leaving you can make a greater difference by gathering the community and controlling what?s happening on the property. These places are old but the people are running it down faster. For what I have read about Vista the problem starts with the maintance staff there should be no hole in the ceiling for months, to me I don?t think they know what they are doing on both properties. The managers for what I saw are more counselors than mangers. They spend most of their time talking to people than doing anything else. While I was there Bayvue the manager was on the phone with a pissed of client for over an hour then when she got of the phone there was another person on the phone and two more to see her. Yikes what a bad normal day for anybody. Iast I would say that even thought I would pick one over the other just because I just feel that one property has a better handle on what?s going on I wouldn?t move in to eithe unless I had to, and if so For no longer than 1 year.
