Sad, sad place to live!

The roaches are really bad. The first night I stayed in my apartment I saw roaches running up the walls. You can be very clean but they won't go away. Your neighbors are a big factor. When I cook they scatter out of the stove.
The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything which makes the music thumping worse.
The maintenance is good about time but they do a half a** job. There is a hole in my bathroom door that they just painted over and called it fixed. The towel rack came off of the wall because it had two different wall fixtures. When they came into replace it they patched the hole but didn't bother to at least throw some paint over it.
One late night I walk into my building to find a drunk, naked man snoring in the entryway. If my step son was with me that would have been the last straw.
At first I didn't mind living here because I get what I pay for. The small matters didn't bother me much until someone was shot outside of the building next to mine. After a while small things can add up after something like that happens.
I don't understand how the company who owns these apartment complexes would allow their tenants to live in these conditions. Hopefully after the shooting security will be tighter but I will not wait to find out.

If I could afford to move and had the money saved up for fist month rent, security, etc. I would leave also. 14 years is a long time to be here at this complex.
