After 2 years living here my assessment
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 2/9/2008
Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
I picked this community for its location, price and overall look of the property. The pluses: Very convenient yet removed from the potomac mills shopping and dining area, easy access to I-95, small secluded property (surrounded by trees on 2 sides), extremely quiet for apartment living, spaceous floor plan with large closets, large bedroom, lots of windows, pool is supervised by lifeguards. In two years i havn't had any maintenance issues so I can't say how good the response time is. But I can say that MG is an awesome grounds/maintenance person. He treats the property as if it were his own. To bad some residents don't follow suit. The Bad: in 2 years we've had mulitply managers and staff. only one (Tammy) has been a great manager and enforced the property rules (but now she's gone). The windows are cheap and drafty but with thermal lined draps you can reduce that problem. YES the walls and ceilings are poorly insulated and you definately hear ever move your neighbor makes. A solution to this would be only rent a top floor or ground floor corner apartment. The really BAD: parents who allow children to roam the property unsupervised and dog owners who continue to allow there dogs to poop all over the grounds and don't pick up there mess. I feel I've been the perfect tennant, rent always paid ontime, follow all the rules and keep my apartment in show condition. recently I inquired about renewing my lease and was appauled with the increase amount. humm maybe they don't want good tennants here anymore. The message i got was take it or leave it.
