I lived at Dale Forest Apartments from like Aug. 2005 till April 2006. I accepted a job out here on the west coast. I also had a fully paid company relocation. Soooo, when I finished cleaning my apartment and doing the checkout sheet, I went down to the office. I turned in my keys and gave them the checkout sheet, and gave the lady my forwarding address. I had already rented a place out here.

I asked them if I could go ahead and pay them for the upcoming month rent and one month's rent (since I was leaving prior to the end of my lease). They told me NO, that is not how we do it. She said after the apartment is checked and the accounting is done they would send me a final bill. I asked if we could go ahead and settle this since I explained to them I had a relo package, and that I could just submit the receipt in my relo papers. She said no.

So we moved and about a month later I got an invoice that only said I owed, nothing itemized. I asked my relocation coordinator and they said I had to have the amount justified, what is it for, etc. So I called the office of Dale Forest Apartments and told them that I need an itemized invoice and that once I had that the company would pay it and I could forward it to Dale Forest. Well months went by, my relo account was closed and my mistake was I forgot about it as well, but they had my forwarding address and I never received anything.

Well, in Febuary 2007 I got a call from a collections office stating that I owed this money for Dale Forest Apartments.

So do you want to live there and deal with this unprofessional & tacky apartment complex........'
