I just moved here 3 weeks ago. We are on a 1st floor apartment and I have a 2 year old. Within the 1st week of my residency here I discovered that the ceiling / floor between my apartment and the 2nd floor are terribly thin. I can hear the simple footsteps all through the night and other extra ciricular "adult" activities taking place. The down spout and water run off for when it rains was completely covered in fungus, and other growing organisms that I took upon my self to clean. I didn't want for my son to accidentally splash in some thing like that. 2 weeks after being here there was a break in in the next building over from ours. Does that make you feel safe' Also within the 2 weeks of living here both of the shower knobs broke, at the same time. Shoddy. To the point of I couldnt turn them on or off or adjust the water tepurature, it was scolding hot or scolding hot. Once again, I have a 2 year old to bathe! Just today upon walking around the apartment complex area we discovered two play areas. Both of which are so run down and in need of complete repair! So bad that I would not allow for my son to play on the 2x4's that are pieced together carelessly to look like a jungle gym. The stairs up to the slide are completely UNsafe and I found human feices at the bottom of one of the slides! Yes, human waste. As if some other disgusting resident intentionally performed their business there so that when some unfortunate child slides down they will land in it. Go ahead and read the offical website of daleforestapartments.com, they make it out to be pretty nice. The neighbors are not, the facilities are disgusting and the amenities are a lie. My apartment does not have a full size washer and dryer. It has those stackable sets the you can't fit 2 pairs of jeans into. The management is disrespectful and be prepared to haveto pay for your own keys to be made and repairs to be performed.
