I have lived here since July 07 and all was well, so I thought. Then my nightmare began in Jan 08 when not one, two very noisy, bass playing obnoxious neighbors move in. One beside me and one below me. And they are friends. They walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors talking. They slam doors so hard the windows vibrate and the bass is driving my crazy. I have called the police so many times they know me by name. And the leasing office and UDR, the management company has done nothing!!! They said I need proof this is happening. My neighbors harass me now that they know I'm moving. UDR let me out of my lease with my deposit, they know they are wrong. Then the kicker-in error, they placed my intent-to-vacate notice on the noisy neighbor down below door and they opened my letter. They know I'm moviing and now do things to taunt me, such as turning the music up and down, up and down, then leave, slamming the door. I have maintained my dignity and decided to move. BUT, I plan to seek legal advice. You can sue your neighbor in Civil Court and I plan to pursue it. The management office is the worse. All they care about is keeping a unit occupied. The place is horrible with customer service. They don't return calls and basically ignore you. The WALLS and WINDOWS are SUPER thin, you hear EVERYTHING, SO THE BASS REALLY MAGNIFIES!!! Don't move here, you will be sorry!!!! If I was making all this up, why have you let me out of my lease, because you know I'm telling you the truth. I'm sure I was not first to complain and won't be the last!!!
